Then you CLEARLY haven't listened to the album thoroughly. The entire album is about living life's paradox. The hypocrisy that life gives you. He even said in one line he's "trying to live only to die". Everything is an oxymoron. This is a cinematic scope inside his own personal experiences with oxy-dealing and survival. But if according to you, you expect another GKMC album. Kendrick's album is Kendrick's album, he wanted a non-linear style film of his life. Q's about a theme, even the musical atmosphere is trippy as if drug-induced. The main reason for the mixed reviews is because people expected a STANDARD kind of album, which tailor-made singles and no theme at all. As I said earlier, people are conditioned to the lame trap beats, R&B assisted rap singles, and soft rappers talking about clubbing all the time and making money that they don't have in reality. This is with intention NOT that kind of album.

The closest comparison to this album I can think of is probably the Slim Shady LP. or 2001. Very very up to par if not better than the former. And I say this not because of the druggy talk but the themes and imagery...all the way down to the mentions of his daughter. Tell me I'm wrong. The only thing is this album has more range with songs like Collard Greens, Grooveline and Studio whereas Em was a one trick pony. School is a thugged out, Eminem with some charisma.

The same people that were probably calling Eminem that dude in 98 (myself included) and bumping the hell out of 2001 (again myself included) are shytting on this album talking about its redundant and uninspired. gtfoh. 9/10 album

Listen to every song completely except that Los Awesome trash. Nearly every song is pills, hoover street, crip. The only songs where he steps out of that realm is Hoover and fukk LA. This album is average. Why does that upset you so much little guy?
