The real problem with Los Awesome is that it comes after Gangsta. The sequence was off.

Think about...you go from with Gangsta and then Los Awesome comes on and you are like "I can't get jiggy with this shyt!!"

If he had put that song near the end or as a bonus track nikkas wouldn't be bashing it as much imo

Weaker than "Follow Me Home"?

I believe people are either unfamiliar with Schoolboy Q and assumed it'll be another GKMC kind of album, or over-hyped themselves with assumption that this album supposed to cure cancer or some sh*t. I've seen this scenario way too many times. This even happened to Doggystyle 20 years ago. The general consensus THEN was that it was a disappointment, because everyone was overhyped that it'll be another Chronic album. Let this album BREATHE first. The album is dope as fucck if you stop trying to compare to previous albums. Just smoke somethin' or drink somethin' and vibe the hell out.

I like it too, it's jiggy

Q was ruining it on the verses and Rock's verse while better was . I like the vibe of the song mostly.

The album itself isn't trash but it's comprised of mainly 4 and 3 star songs with not much deviation.

IMO outside of a couple songs Follow Me Home was really bad, Jay Rock clearly has the talent but he has never put together a good cohesive project.

I like Oxymoron, not like HnC which is a personal favorite but way better than Setbacks and Oxymoron is still a step forward for the homie most def.

Now with one major album under his bel he knows the game better and will prolly not have a problem with pushbacks like before and hopefully he'll find someone to sequence his projects.
