I can't do too much with the tats because of my profession. The two im getting will be on my back though so it's moot as far as attracting anyone outside of the beach, gym or random clothing store dressing room. As far as beards go I'm sticking with a clean face atm.

It just seems like hipster garbage to me...I was just in Greenpoint today. Damn near every dude looks like this. Slicked back parted hair, lumberjack flannels, skin tight jeans cuffed, and boots..with beards and stupid meaningless tattoos. Plus all of the examples posted in the op are of white dudes. I've read many of these types of articles...the scientists are white, the writers are white, and it's supposed to be used as a universal example of "attractiveness"...I fail to believe that dudes like this have an edge...mainstream media tends to push a certain ideal and whatever is popular at the time fits that ideal.

If that is true then this study makes no sense. The men with tattoos don't stand out.
It would be the men without tattoos and piercing that stand out. I use to love tattoos but its a bit played out for me because almost everyone has them. I wouldn't turn a guy down for having them but it doesn't catch my eye.

It's more like Ray Ban wayfarers now...but the aviator glasses are slowly but surely making a comeback.

To be honest, I always liked aviator shades...especially ones with clear colored lenses.
