Yet more evidence emerges that our universe is a grand simulation created by an intelligent designer

Yo check this out. This shyt is crazy. Scientists claim to have found evidence that we are living inside a computer simulation. Here is a quick summary of the study.

Your computer display screen has a finite number of pixels available, and this is called the "screen resolution" such as 1920 x 1440. This means there are 1920 pixels across and 1440 pixels vertically.

Everything you see on your computer screen must be drawn and depicted using these pixels, and nothing can be displayed that's only half a pixel. For example, you can't draw a vertical line on the screen that exists between the pixels that are hard-wired into the screen resolution. Everything you view on the monitor -- a computer game, a website, even a video -- is essentially transposed onto the "lattice" of pixels that exist in your hardware.

Your hardware, in effect, has a hard-wired "resolution limit" which defines the smallest size of any object that can be depicted on the screen.

Now, zoom out to the "real" world in which we live. Here in the real world, we think that there are no pixels and that we can move fluidly to any location we wish. We are not digitized being, we think; we're analog beings living in a fluid world without the pixelation of a computer screen, right?

Not so fast. As it turns out, our "reality" is also pixelated, just at a very fine resolution. This study out of Bonn revealed that the energy level of cosmic rays "snaps to" the "resolution" of the universe in which we live. The very laws of electromagnetic radiation, in other words, are confined by the resolution of the three-dimensional simulation we call a "universe."

Our universe, it turns out, is digital, not analog. Heck, even your DNA is digital, not analog. You are a digitized physical being imbued with a non-material consciousness that transcends this physical simulation. Realizing this is a lot like taking the red pill in The Matrix and being shown that the universe you thought was real is actually just a grand computer simulation.

Just think about it this way. Each year or so computing power doubles. This is Moore's law. Most scientists believe that in a few decades computing power will be so powerful that we can create simulations inside computers that will be INDISTINGUISHABLE from the real world. The simulation theory simply asserts that maybe we've already achieved this and we are in the computer simulation right now. :merchant:

Once a civilization reaches technological maturity, and starts creating simulated worlds, then there will be far more simulated universes than the actual real universe. Thus it makes more sense that we are far more likely to be part of the many simulated universes that are created rather than being the very special "real" universe where the first beings existed that created the simulations.

Just a little something to ponder tonight.

If this theory is correct then there is no heaven or hell, you would simply turn off the software that programs your consciousness. Whether you can exist outside the substrate of the computer universe's hardware is the issue? Remember this would not be a simulation like the Matrix where there is a brain located outside the computer simulation. Your entire brain is being simulated inside the simulation and there is NOTHING outside. Thus unless this computer program reboots your consciousness, you would simply be killing yourself.

quantum mechanics is probably the best evidence that we're in a simulation.........the measurement problem basically says that when we are not looking, objects within the universe simply become mathematical probabilities in the form of wave functions and they only collapse to form particles when a conscious observer views it :damn:

that basically means that like a video game, the universe only renders reality when we look at it......once we turn away the computer saves its power because no one is looking at the object :damn:

this supports the simulation theory because if every particle in the universe actually existed at all times, then the only computer that could simulate that universe would be a computer that is the size of the universe itself......however since the universe doesn't behave like that, then you could have a computer the size of a planet that could simulate a universe as vast as ours

Yeah but the higher power is actually just us. The simulation theory says that once we achieve a sufficient level of computer power, we'll build these simulations to see how our ancestors behaved. Thus god would simply be our descendants. Not the story from the bible.
