I've been watching a lot of docs on quantum mechanics, dimensions, string theories, space and time etc..... The more I learn the more I realize this is a VERY REAL possibility! (or something to that effect)

imo, self-awareness would seem to preclude this as a possibility, but it is indeed cool.

I read something not too long ago, I think it was like a fanfic about this. I'll see if I can find it.

:mindblown:

somebody tell me what deja vu is using this theory :dwillhuh:

just a glitch in the matrix

A minor malfunction in the program causes the subject to experience Deja Vu. It could be something as simple as a binary digit sequencing error that could cause it. Since nearly everyone has experienced it at least once in their lifetime, it does seem to be a common minor problem for the simulators.

quantum mechanics is probably the best evidence that we're in a simulation.........the measurement problem basically says that when we are not looking, objects within the universe simply become mathematical probabilities in the form of wave functions and they only collapse to form particles when a conscious observer views it :damn:

that basically means that like a video game, the universe only renders reality when we look at it......once we turn away the computer saves its power because no one is looking at the object :damn:

this supports the simulation theory because if every particle in the universe actually existed at all times, then the only computer that could simulate that universe would be a computer that is the size of the universe itself......however since the universe doesn't behave like that, then you could have a computer the size of a planet that could simulate a universe as vast as ours

imo, self-awareness would seem to preclude this as a possibility, but it is indeed cool.

:whew: It's so complex!

I go down the rabbit hole all the time! Sacred geometry, genes, chakras, sound waves, etc.... :ohlawd:

I haven't finished this doc yet. I like to play them and fall asleep watching them :D BUT! Just the first 20 minutes or so had me so intrigued! They was showing how everything in the world moves in patterns at the waves of sound. Like if you watch a glass shattering in slow motion from high sound waves, it'll morph shape first and create a wave pattern. Then explode! :whew:

They showed the patterns that sand and particles create impacted by sound waves. Explained how it was Sacred Geometry and that's how they came up with all those ancient tapestry designs and paisley prints....... :noah: This stuff is sooo interesting!

What about photographs ?

Yeah but the higher power is actually just us. The simulation theory says that once we achieve a sufficient level of computer power, we'll build these simulations to see how our ancestors behaved. Thus god would simply be our descendants. Not the story from the bible.

Im not saying I agree with the simulation theory, the belief in a higher power is essentially what Im agreeing with. Whatever other conclusions you arrive to is your own personal opinion. Wether you believe that higher power to be you, which honestly doesnt make any sense to me, or anything is otherwise is, ultimately, up for you to decide.

What about photographs ?

even when there is a photo, an observation is being made.....there doesn't have to be a human there but a measurement has to be made......then the program renders the environment once a measurement is taken.......if no measurement is taken then it doesn't render the environment

there are many experiments talking about this....the most simple is the double slit experiment......read up on it......stated simply it says that when a conscious observer is NOT looking matter behaves as a probabilistic wave function......that is it doesn't exist as an actual object but just as math.....however once there is an observation made the wave function collapses to form particles that make up everything we see around us

the double slit experiment and all other experiments like it show that particles behave differently when we are not looking......it was because of this aspect of quantum mechanics that Einstein found troubling....he is quoted famously as asking his friend physicist Neils Bohr if he really believes that the Moon disappears when no one is looking at it......Bohr responded "how do you know the Moon exists when no one is looking at it" :yeshrug:

could you explain? how could self-awareness preclude the fact we are in a simulation?

what you think is self-awareness is simply the result of electrical signals firing in your brain.....if I turned off those neurons you wouldn't be self-aware.....if I could copy those firings and simulate them in a computer.....why would I not be able to make a simulated being feel the same sense of self-awareness?
