That's partly because he's on a minutes restriction. He has -31 in a 30 minute game, -31 in a 28 minute game, -23 in a 23 minute game.

If he'd been playing 40+ minutes like Scoot just had to (because literally 80% of the actual NBA players on the squad are out hurt), those -30 games turn to -40 or higher.

There are serious problems in Scoot's game, but this Blazers squad losing by 50 with 80% of their squad injured has little to nothing to do with that. Y'all watch basketball like children.


Can you even name the other guys in the starting lineup for Portland? It was Jabari Walker, Kris Murray, and Rayan Rupert. First three off the bench were Dalano Banton, Duop Reath, and Justin Minaya. Of those 6 guys, 3 were recent draft picks near the bottom of the 2nd round and two were undrafted free agents. The Blazer rotation tonight was basically Scoot, Ayton, and 5 guys who were expected to play in the G-league.

Their three best players (Anfernee Simons, Jerami Grant, and Malcolm Brogdon) are all out, as are Shaedon Sharpe and Robert Williams. It was a skeleton team tonight. But you likely didn't know any of that when you posted.

I didn't say jack shyt about Scoot in the entire comment. I just pointed out that this is a rebuilding Blazer team with everyone injured and a horrible lineup on the floor, so how much they lost by was completely meaningless and is a really dumb way to evaluate players.
