As a scout, don’t you sniff this out? Why would a team waste a #2 pick on somebody who may not be serious about basketball?

Networking a relationships should be the key to a scouts success. Anybody can look at measurements, fluidity, and feel of the game. Its the other stuff that makes top ten picks successful.
