wouldn't this make him a sell out since he compromised his true beliefs for money?
His beliefs weren't really public until recently. He could have just kept them to himself. A lot of famous people keep their politics to themselves. He similarly could have just said he was a conservative who supported Trump. He had to go and touch the third rails of politics, then had the audacity to whine when he got shocked.
