Scott Jrs Complaint is that he grew up poor in the BX. I think he said that he had a high number of siblings too, I want to say 8 but I could be wrong about that.

So what is KRS to do? Seek to adopt him? Move the mother and all 8 kids in with him?
Buy a house and pay all living expenses for 8 kids until Scott Jr turns 18? At that time does he just abandon Scott’s siblings and mother?

he could’ve done something. apparently he did very little to nothing, which is the point.

asking “what should I have done?” after the fact is wasting everyone’s time. you do what you can when you’re supposed to, especially if you have the means.

now if KRS-One was broke there’d be nothing to talk about because he couldn’t be expected to help anyone if he couldn’t even help himself, but is that the case? I don’t know his finances, but I know if he was alright financially then he owed his potnas son something.

rakim consistently got million dollars deals. For almost every album he ever did. Krs ones business dealings I don’t know he seemed to have one shytty record deal after the other.

he got a lot of money but not exactly how you say. he did miss the boom that came after his heyday. he and Eric B both appear to be living comfortably but they werent getting crazy licks like some of these rappers now or in the 90s-2000s. he said in his book his deals kept getting smaller and smaller with each album...like cut in half. and I think he said his last deal was like 300k.

as far as this interview, its kinda corny if you ask me. the dude said "where is mine" but at the same time "I dont want nothin to do with BDP" . what does he actually do? and why would he be entitled to anything from BDP? that first album I am pretty sure they didnt get paid shyt from. it was on Sleeping Bag records. I think it was EPMD that said they got like $500-1000 deal from them? you know publishing and shyt wasnt right. Ced Gee did most of the beats on there. I doubt they made shyt off that album and that was the only album Scott was involved in.
