Underrated? @Walt get in here and back me up. Dude was a 2 time 3rd team all NBA and never made 2nd or 1st team. Never made an all defense team. Career average of 18-3-3. I don't think he ever averaged 5 boards or assists per game. Peaked at maybe 23 points a game once. If @DetroitEWarren had his figures right and I think he did, Reggie averaged 20.9 in the playoffs, which isn't even top 100 and was assisted on 84% of his shots. That scrawny giraffe neck having Martian looking prick was a scrawny Kyle korver.Reggie Miller is so underrated man. If three point shooting was only his game then maybe Klay would have a case over him but he had another source of points in a high free throw rate. Flopper or not, that man knew how to turn contact into trips to the line and combined with his off ball scoring made him one of the most efficient offensive players of his era, and on top of this he's one of those rare stars who stepped their game up even further in the postseason. Klay needs to prove a lot more on that stage to surpass that man.
As for Pippen's comment, don't expect him to say anything less than that but obviously that wouldn't be the case
Not even close.

Yeah Reggie always got his points efficiently. That's never been a knock. Thing is he couldn't do much more than shoot 3's or get to the line. 90's stans overrating of him and AI is maddening though. Reggie was good, but he was always a tier below his peers and the 90's stans can't grasp that.I've had this discussion with Walt before and disagreed with him. This post is exactly why he was underrated, to compare Kyle Korver to him is just really disrespectful. What he did unique from many other off ball players is get to the free throw line at a high rate. Klay and Korver would be dramatically better players if they had that in their arsenal, and this says nothing to his superiority as a playoff performer.
Miller peaked at 24.6 ppg in 1990 on 64 TS%...there is a very selective list of players in this games history who have managed to do that and it includes Durant, Curry, Barkley.
If you look at Miller's postseason prime and eliminate the final seasons where he was clearly a shell of himself due to old age, he averaged 23.5ppg 60.7 TS% over a twelve year span. Thats remarkable. Was he ever a dominant top 5 player? No, but he was definitely great and shouldn't be disrespected to this degree.
Him being assisted on a high percentage of his shots really doesn't matter when he's being compared to Klay Thompson lol. And I love players that can play entirely within the flow of an offense encouraging ball movement while still producing points at a high volume and THEN translating that into the postseason.

What gives the Warriors problems? Long athletic defenders that can play multiple positions and get into passing lanes. The Bulls' two best players, who are the best player ever (and DPOY winner) and arguably the best perimeter defender of that era, who also happened to be very long and very athletic. Add Rodman into the mix and...I can't see the Warriors winning this series.
