Scottie Pippen “Cringed” At Being Michael Jordan’s “Sidekick”

Scottie always has been perceived as a great sidekick to Jordan. On the other hand, he was a great leader and facilitator in the Bulls dynasty and an elite defender. He carried the Bulls to the playoff when in the 93-94 season when MJ retired. I understand why he was upset that he is perceived as the SIDEKICK. What do you guys think?

“Pippen details how he cringed at being labeled Jordan’s sidekick, and discusses how he could have (and should have) received more respect from the Bulls’ management and the media,” the summary says, via Simon & Schuster.

Bolded is very true. Pip wasn't paid his worth/value

Unfortunately, he was always going to be seen as Robin to Batman

Wherever nikkas need to be told on
He didn’t help his case when MJ was gone and he was the man and he chose to sit instead of being on the floor at the end of that playoff game against Indiana

As the number one option he watched Kukoc be the hero in knocking down the game winner

Edit: actually that’s pretty incredible that the play wasn’t drawn up for him—maybe shows what Phill thought about him

I agreed. He should have stay on the floor, but buddy was on his emotional feelings.

He’s a grown ass man, of course he’d feel a certain type of way being labeled a sidekick tf :mjlol:

There’s nothing positive about being called a side kick shyt even robin was a lil ass boy
Pippen can't change that perception of him of being a sidekick no matter how he feels. :yeshrug: Once the media create its own narrative, that's the narrative that's going to stick, unfortunately. :francis:

he should cringe at the Larysa sullying the last name pippen and being a thot with a onlyfans :picard:
He probably cringing at his ex-wife's whoring lifestyle as we speak. Just let you this thread is about Pippen being viewed as a sidekick not about Larysa being a community coochie. :ld:

Doesn’t mean he has to like it or even go along with it :manny:

He was a sidekick, pippen was the perfect compliment to Jordan he wouldn’t of been the player he was without his role in the triangle offense. Dude offensive bag wasn’t like kahwi or pg or grant hill or penny etc

dude got 6 championships gets erroneously called the greatest perimeter defender ever & still whining

I could see kobe not feelin being called a sidekick not pippen
