He’s not wrong at all, but people are going to insist otherwise because of their biases to Jordan. A lot of Pippen is saying is the truth, but people won’t admit it.
A lot like what? Cuz Scottie Pippen wouldn't even be on the 75 team if he didn't play with Jordan

Pippen is 100% right, but damn does that sound like some left field hating on Jordan :mjlol:

Goddamn this man is so bitter. :what::what::what:

He definitely should've won a DPOY award but it's tiring how he constantly has to phrase his entire career as: "I could've...I would've...I should've...but MJ". He's like the Bret Hart of basketball.

I mean for HIM that’s a valid thing to be upset about :yeshrug:

Folks (especially young nikkas round my age) do underplay Pippen and his greatness a lot simply because of MJ

I can 100% see where all his frustrations are coming from and if you don’t you still got MJ’s nuts down your mouth tbh :yeshrug:

What was the year Pippen should have won?

People are obviously missing Pippen's overall comment. Pippen was never viewed as a viable DPOY candidate because the media was fixated on Jordan and him being the anchor of their defense and not Pippen. We see that in the league today where a lot of dudes are taken serious as DPOY candidates as people view other members of their team as the key to their defense. If you don't believe it, look over there at Boston and Robert Williams who doesn't get the credit for what he means to Boston's defense.

What year was he supposed to have won it precisely, and why?
yeah i prefer specifics over a generic i shouldve won one at some point in time. ill make a case for him during the 94-95 season. bulls were no.2 in defensive rating, he led the team in steals and blocks with more than any other 2 starters combined and defensive rebounds by 153. i think you'd see more of a push for pippen to win it if that season was being looked at by the voters of today. that said i could do without the whole its jordan and the media's fault bs.

It is known that Pippen is my favorite player of all-time, but he goin out bad.

He wouldnt be the player he is without MJ.

Sure, MJ wouldnt have the 6 titles w/o Pip, but MJ's individual greatness would have still shined through w/o Scottie.

BUT, Pippen should have won at least DPOY
