I don't know. Scottie was a really good player.
On some level, he was underappreciated. I don't think any reasonable person can deny that Michael Jordan cast a large shadow over everyone on those Bulls teams.

But Scottie accomplished a lot and he's a 6-time champion. You'd think he would be at peace with it all after 25 years.

Is he? The media and Jordan’s propaganda team are responsible for people viewing Pip as nothing more than a Robin who was along for the ride

Got no prob with him speaking up. He’s still pulling punches. He needs to let people know that without him and Phil, Jordan was nothing more than a more efficient Westbrook

You don’t even believe this

Pippen should understand by now the media and other entities pick their favorites. No different than sports media talking about Lebron everyday for the last 20 years or QBs winning Superbowl MVP by default unless they played a bad game.

Perimeter players have won the award five times since 89, with Kawhi getting it twice.

Perimeter guys won it 3 times during Pip's career:

MJ during Pip's rookie year

Gary Payton in 96, Pip finished 2nd in voting. Next three were Mutumbo, Robinson, Hakeem.

Artest in 04, Pip's last year. Ben Wallace and Theo Ratliff were 2nd and 3rd.

The award has always been seen as something for big men, but it's Mike's fault he didn't get one:unimpressed:

Playing with Mike actually upped his prestige.Pip was a great role player. He wasn't a franchise player level guy.Had he never played sidekick to the GOAT, he's never looked at as top 75.He's Iguadala/Shawn Marion/with a dash of Boris Diaw.Maybe would've made a few All Star games, but he's the Rat who rode in on the Ox's back(MJ).That might make some of y'all angrier than Daffy Duck, but it's the truth. You replace him with Boris Diaw, and the Bulls still go 6-0 in the Finals:yeshrug:
