they need to do more with that male news reporter…
he could be a ghostface thru the next 2 films…
in 7 he pretty much gets kicked to the curb… and he says “help a small town reporter out” or something like that
maybe he can take matters into his own hands and become a gf to further advance his fame & journalism career… he gets the scoop and unknown details on these murders because he is the one committing them or helping along… he survives 8 w/o being suspected or detected where he lets it be known that there are multiple gfs as he calls sidney towards the end
which in turn will set up film #9

A reboot or remake would not have any element of surprise. I remember seeing this film in the theater back in 97 and no one knew who the killers until the reveal at the end. We all though Billy was dead. Can't get that kind of surprise anymore. I think the whole revealing yourself nonsense has got to stop. They take off the mask, give a dissertation on their life, and every time Sidney or whomever gets the knife or gun away from them and kill them. This has been happening for 30 years!! Let the MF get away for once unmasked like Michael Meyers at the end of Halloween 1(1978), Halloween Kills, Halloween 5, 6, and 8. And when he gets away, you end the movie right there and pick up the next part right from that spot like Halloween 2. . Then if you kill him, you don't let him reval himself and give a life story, you tell his story for him after his death like Roy in Friday the 13th part 5.
You forgot growing to 6'3you seriously don't even care about the new characters. Absolutely no development for them and they had no charisma. None of them. So when they were to die, you didn't care about them. One thing that's crazy is how whomever puts on the mask and thobe instantly becomes faster, stronger, and fight skills on 99. Maybe the new Scream movies will become supernatural like the F13 series when Jason became a zombie.

yeah thats what ive been wanting for them to do…
let at least 1 of them get away and let it get back to them actually investigating and trying to figure out who it is
one thing i liked about 7 is that no one knew who Karl was… it added to the whole suspense like who tf is this dude…
And finally they kill off one of the gfks during the movie
i also think they need to let things happen throughout some time instead everything happening in 1 or 2 days
It’ll add another element of surprise because you wont know when to expect another attack and let them (cops/kirby/gale etc) try to pick up on some of the patterns
this is why i think the next few killers need to be setup and developed over the next 2 movies

I feel like thats why it would’ve made sense for it to be Chad & Mindy.
- Sydney got their uncle killed
- They got fuccked up in the Macher house
- Their two best friends got exiled (for lack of a better word)
