This was a pretty good interview. Dwight held back with some of his answers and i see that he is trying to keep the peace. But it looks like he's gonna leave at the end of the season unless they dramtically improve. He says he wants more shots but if he's not healthy and his free throws are getting worse he can't justify saying that at this time. I hope he gets his form back but even im doubtful of that happening.

If this were any other player ... ESPECIALLY a non impactful center ... your post would be 100% dead on. But we're in a league today that has very little low post presence, or hell .. talent, period. Dwight in a walking boot would get the max. Dr. James Andrews himself could come out and say .. 'Dwight will never be the same. He will never have the explosion he once had. He will never be able to run the floor like he once did. He will have to solely have to rely on his back to the basket game for the rest of his career

While you make a valid point why play at all if you don't wanna be there and you know you can get a max deal regardless? He came back from his back surgery before he was supposed to and he came back from the original shoulder injury sooner than he was supposed to as well. If he was trying to tank he would've milked those injuries.

This team was viewed as a "superteam" coming into the season. All kinds of outlandish predictions were made. There is no way Dwight was trying to play the "fighting through injuries to will his squad into the playoffs" card with this team at the start fo the season. He's a broad mentally. But I don't think even he would fake injuries or tank the season. Especially when there is no tangible benefit for him for doing so.

You might be right. Hell, you probably are .. but remember .. yea Dwight came back earlier than expected .. but the fukkery of the shoulder and 'back issue' didn't flare up again until this team was 20+ games into the season, and shyt started to go south for them.
