Said that there were too many people ahead of me... how when I got the shyt reserved?

Looks like damage control is going on right now. So if you got the email I would say go get yours ASAP.



How you sell out when the email says I have until tomorrow to pick it up?

I'm going to reserve it another store and see what happens. In that slickdeals thread they said that some managers got that call from corporate saying not to honor it though.

But I'm calling bullshyt on this dude saying they sold out. If you reserve it they set it to the side like anything/anywhere else.

Staples is ALWAYS on that bullshyt. That's why I said go asap. They did me like that with a laptop that was like 180. They said it was sold out.

if you look thru the slickdeals thread, it is Staples' policy to honor in store pickups for the cheaper price. There's a transcript of the call on the 4th or 5th page of that thread.

I printed out the page this morning just in case but the confirmation email also has it in the message text. All I had to do was show the email.


I also looked over the cashier's shoulder when he was checking me out. The page that they pull from the back when they grab the drives also has the $46 price on it. Either way fight it if they do admit having the drives in stock.

A lot of times the cashiers will tell you anything to get the deal for themselves. The guy even told me "nice deal, I know what I'm getting on my lunch break"

yup i have heard this TONS of times on different site, if you go in there and a regular floor dude tells you they dont have them ask to speak to the manager , staples be on some bullshyt

yep. Another tip is to go in with the sku number and not the product description and WATCH them search for it.


The guy I was working with reminded me of McLovin, but he was cool as hell. Didn't give me any issues. Whenever there are deals like this at Staples I suggest that you go when the store opens and find the oldest sweetest little old lady you can....

Damn. That's some bullshyt. If it was truly online only, they should have made it so that you couldn't reserve it in store. This isn't even a fukking exploit. Just using the system as intended.
