:what: what type of voodoo economics are these cats doing

How do you afford to pay Sherman (2nd highest paid corner), Thomas (highest paid safety), Chancellor (8th highest paid safety), Wilson (est. 20 mil/year) and then make Lynch the 2nd highest paid RB in the league...

they still ain't paid Malcolm Smith, KJ Wright, or Wagner...they gonna lose those boys and go gooey in the middle...they gonna have a poverty o-line...can't pay no receivers
Kj got locked up already, Malcolm gone.

itll be one of those 'long term' deals where anything after the 2015 season is just window dressing. its a way to get him back next year, with a slight pay bump given that he is already locked up next year anyways, to keep him from walking away. id be stunned if its any big guaranteed cap hits years down the line

guys are getting cut when you add an extra 30 million to the cap
not any key core guys. marshawn has a 8.5 mil cap number anyways next year. this would barely increase it for next season. hardly has any effect on their cap space

they have a cap of 119 for next year already.

next year cap is around 130. but lets say 130. that is 11 million in space.

add 20 million for wilson. then add an extra 2.5 for lynch. that is around 11.5 over the cap. that is not including draft picks and filling out the 53 man roster.

you need 5 million for the draft now we are talking about 16.5 over. we are still not filling out the roster at this point.

guess what..........starters are getting cut

You a hawks fan now? :mjlol:

I had season tickets to the Hawks back in 10-11 when I moved from Chattanooga, and went to each of their playoff series in 08, 09, 10 as well when I lived in Tennessee. Couldn't keep my tix after that season since I travel every week for work (and I couldn't get away with just having 2 tix anymore with my sons too old to get in free :pachah:smile:. I've literally spent racks on watching these cats over years.

Still LWO first and foremost, but I loved the Hawks since then too. Call it duel citizenship. The LWO and #Hawkset knows where I stand.

No you dont add 20 for Wilson,it doesn't work like that unless he gets a flat deal

Most nfl contracts are backloaded so the first couple years his cap number will be low

When Flacco signed for 20 mill per season his cap number in year 1 was 7 mill and 14 mill in year 2

Next year will be the first year his number will be 20

Russell will probably get a similar deal so they can keep everybody

I know breh...just to clear shyt up for other nikkaz just in case. I really miss my season tickets though......seeing Kobe Da Gawd in person was a lifelong dream :mjcry: and one of the main reason I pulled the trigger. Both those playoff series with the Celtics were great times then at the Highlight Factory. Got to meet Dominique and shyt was incredible too.
