Granted with hindsight you run the ball there...but Russell is to blame. You cant make that throw.
Hindsight my ass. This isn't Manning throwing the ball to JT or DT when the other option is to run Ronnie Hillman. It's the 27th ranked passing offense being on the goalline with a top 3 back .

At WORST, if you absolutely MUST throw you go play action and get Russell in space.

Game been over for more than 12 hours and I still can't believe that play call :mindblown:

Darrell Bevell was once Brett Favre's OC, and that was a very Favre-esque play Russ made

Lets not pretend the OC threw it...

Wilson could have easily said... bad spot to put the ball, throw it away, live another down and still have time with clock stopped.

I think the OC is getting 99% of the heat, which yes stupid play, but if they caught them sleeping and worked, he looks like a genius. Wilson is paid to make the decision of where to go with the ball, he didn't HAVE to throw it there.

Problem is, this is a play a fukking former teammate practiced against :pachaha: As soon as they sent all those wideouts they KNEW what was up.

Just atrocious all around. :scust:

Exactly. You got a 3rd year QB throwing yo UDF WRs and one who can't catch consistently. Yet have arguably the best power back in the NFL. The call was so fukking bad that Andy Reid and Mike Martz are like don't pass run the got damn ball.

That tells you how dumb the play was.

This is what really lost the game for Seattle. After being up by 10 in the 3rd:

  1. 1-10-SEA 20(3:15) 3-R.Wilson pass deep middle to 83-R.Lockette to SEA 45 for 25 yards (39-B.Browner).
  2. 1-10-SEA 45(2:37) 24-M.Lynch up the middle to SEA 47 for 2 yards (21-M.Butler).
  3. 2-8-SEA 47(1:54) (Shotgun) 3-R.Wilson pass short right to 15-J.Kearse to NE 47 for 6 yards (21-M.Butler).
  4. 3-2-NE 47(1:12) (Shotgun) 3-R.Wilson pass incomplete deep left to 15-J.Kearse (21-M.Butler).
  5. 4-2-NE 47(1:05) 9-J.Ryan punts 33 yards to NE 14, Center-49-C.Gresham, out of bounds
  1. 1-10-SEA 36(14:17) (Shotgun) 24-M.Lynch left end to SEA 38 for 2 yards (97-A.Branch).
  2. 2-8-SEA 38(13:42) (Shotgun) 24-M.Lynch up the middle to SEA 39 for 1 yard (75-V.Wilfork).
  3. 3-7-SEA 39(13:01) (Shotgun) 3-R.Wilson sacked at SEA 31 for -8 yards (50-R.Ninkovich).
  4. 4-15-SEA 31(12:22) 9-J.Ryan punts 52 yards to NE 17, Center-49-C.Gresham. 11-J.Edelman to NE 32 for 15 yards (23-J.Johnson).
  1. 1-10-SEA 20(7:55) 3-R.Wilson pass incomplete deep middle to 83-R.Lockette.
  2. 2-10-SEA 20(7:48) (Shotgun) 24-M.Lynch up the middle to SEA 25 for 5 yards (96-S.Siliga).
  3. 3-5-SEA 25(7:06) (Shotgun) 3-R.Wilson pass incomplete short right to 24-M.Lynch.
Too much running from shotgun and passing. Pretty much the opposite of Marty Ball, this is what happens when you try to get too fancy, force being aggressive and go overboard with the "keep your foot on their throat" mentality. They tried to force Russell Wilson winning the MVP long before that costly INT.

Sometimes running the ball from jumbo sets when you have the lead does work. Especially when their defense is getting worn out.

He probably wanted the glory. His pride has made him weather some big comebacks but it also destroyed him in the end. Almost like a Greek or Shakespearean tragedy.

Usually when you throw those slants the QB is putting the onus on the WR to beat his man. Slants are some of the most int plays in football. The WR must beat his man to the spot and catch the ball. Lockett did not run a good route and did not fight for the ball. But here is the thing lockett is known to be the worst route runner on the team, does not catch well and has issues using his size and beating his man.

Yet your OC runs a play for him as the first read. Like I have said many times in the NFL you see the most fishy play calling that you don't see in any other sport. I mean I can sit down on any Sunday and see play calls where I am like either this coach got money on the game or he is dumb as hell.

Last night was an example of that.

Also Russ is 5-11. The db jumped the route and he was behind the pick play. Russ probably did not see him. That is why I also have said that he needs big play makers like Bree's because of his height.

That's a anticipation throw, there's no way he could of known his wr's were going to get jammed up which messed up the timing

Browner made that play

2009-2010 when :smugfavre: played for the Vikings

Well that means he is even more stupid. He knows that you should give it to your RB he had AD. Plus after that egg game Farve ass had in the Conf Championship game vs the saints he should know to run the ball when you have an easy score.
