SMH at this conference pride BS. Stoops has a point, a point most faithful college football followers should at least be able to acknowledge. No doubt the SEC has the big dogs(top 1-3) teams but overall as a conference that SEC SEC SEC cry falls on deaf ears hear. Bottom feeders attach on to that conference BS just to be an attractive school for recruits. The top dogs just out right pay for theirs. And a lot of the SEC sorting out would happen if they would play a 9 game conference schedule. Not hard to keep your top teams in the top 5 playing an 8 game schedule.

An A&M was the 2nd or 3rd best SEC team IMO. One year removed from the Big 12 they had no issues competing in the almighty SEC and the reason why was 2 fold. They didn't just become that good, the SEC defenses just aren't built to stop that type of offense with a mobile QB, we saw the samething with Killa Cam. To say A&M would have been the best team in the Big 12 just because of what they did in the SEC isn't accurate. They had a better team last year and look at how that played out. Big 12 defenses would have the speed to keep up with Johnny Football and that offense and also have the offense to take advantage of that swiss cheese secondary A&M had one most SEC teams aren't built to take advantage of. The OU game was a one off, playing the teams week in and out is different. A&M would have likely loss 2-3 games playing in the Big 12 last year.

The one thing I will say that the "divide" isn't as great as CBS and ESPN make it out to be though. For TAM to come in the SEC year one and do good was . I do think the Big 12 teams can compete the with the best of the SEC due to the type offenses ran in the Big 12. Those are very hard to defend (again, see TAM).

I've already proven that the SEC has way more than just 3 dominant teams

they have had 5 different teams win national titles since the BCS was installed

they've had 4 different teams win titles in the last 10 years

they had 6 of the top 10 ranked teams in the BCS last season

that isn't just a few good teams......that is CRAZY dominance by nearly half the fukkin league

what other conference can say that HALF of their teams can compete for the national title each year

so once again state some facts disproving SEC dominance or STFU

Texas A&M just had a lucky year. They had the heisman and the top 2 pick in the draft. And they still didn't finish in the top 3 of the conference. Stop with this myth that they came in busted the SEC. They weren't better than Bama, LSU, Georgia, or Florida. And one could argue who is better between them and South Carolina.

Never said they "busted" the SEC. They came in and competed off the jump. They beat Bama in Bama, they were better than them. The result proved it. Big 12 teams run a lot of spread and lots of teams in the SEC aren't build to defend it. Urban's Florida teams reign came on the heels of the spread and talent. TAM will have talent easy. I do agree that they will need to establish consistency no doubt.

I'm NOT shytting on the SEC. It's hand down the best football conference.

A&M's advantage is that they recruit just as well as a good SEC team and they have the money advantage over everyone in the SEC.

They weren't an average B12 team. They fit in very well with the conference in terms of size, talent, coaching, and money.
