Nope.

Game ain't meaningless. I HATE this talking point. You think a whole roster of seniors want to go out with an L? Not to mention all of the underclassmen that want to be the next in line OR going to the draft? You think they want their boys (seniors) going out with an L? They made it to Bama because of their competitiveness. It's backwards for them to all of a sudden not care. I promise you they go hard whether it's scrimmages or just regular practice. The pure and simple fact is that Bama was overrated this year. OU beat them straight up. If it was a matter of motivation then Bama would've crushed the buildings after half, but it was even the entire 2nd half.

This rant ain't just at you. The built in excuses are ridiculous. The media did the same thing. It pissed me off hearing Saban run with it. He should've just said they beat us, but he went into motivation and shyt. That's his job to get them motivated.

Im not a Bama fan at all so im not making excuses its just a part of the bowl history when a team with huge sucess who came close t othe title game is playing a smaller bowl game with no meaning against a much inferior team with little to gain it happened when bama played Utah years back

Add in you have guys worrying about the draft and getting through one more game without injury it is a factor and always has been :manny:

OU had much more incnetive thne Bama to win that game thats just a fact

According to your reasoning then every time Bama doesn't play in a national championship they're unmotivated, but they managed to blow Michigan State out a few years ago when Auburn was in the title game. This wasn't a smaller bowl game with no meaning. It was a BCS bowl game playing against a traditional power in a prestigious bowl. You're belittling OU and the bowl game to prove your point. It'd only make sense if this was the Holiday Bowl.

As far as the draft shrug, not every cat on the field is Clowney (lazy and dodging injuries), they were playing hard. They just got out played. You can't show me a single play where Bama's players were taking plays off or just going through the motions. They were playing. They weren't the best team on the field. That is fact.

OU could've used the same reasoning (excuses) that you're putting forth for Bama if they lost, but folks would've been on here figuring out how Bama got left out the title game.

PLUS like I said, there wasn't a person on Bama's sideline that wanted their senior class to go out with a loss.

I'm not buying it.

The guys going to the draft had the most to gain by playing well in this game ie Kouandijo, Clinton-Dix, Moseley, and McCarron. None had their best or even a good game The first and the fourth were exposed and lost a lot of money last night IMO.

Going out like that was not a good look for the program no matter how you spin it.

lol these fakkits claiming Bama didn't care. These same fakkits would be here talking about how they should have had a chance at the NG if they would have blown out Oklahoma.

Bama jus got whooped plain and simple. Anyone that watches Bama this year new they had major flaws in that secondary.....they basically studied the auburn and a&m games and exposed those weaknesses once again

I work with a FSU grad and we've been talking all season about how Winston and FSU were going to do pretty much exactly what OU did to Bama last night. Kirby and Saban simply can't stop an athletic QB, and last night made it all but a foregone conclusion.

After talking to more people about it as the day goes on, I still can't believe that Saban didn't just hand the ball off every play starting with that turnover early in the game.

I KNOW that Saban is a great coach. I've seen his LSU and Bama teams first-hand on multiple occasions, and they are amazing. Something was just weird about last night. Did he have a heart for McCarron and wanted him to go out on top? Did he feel like he wasn't fully utilizing his offense? Did Stoops simply lure him into a trap?

You can say all that you want about those guys not wanting to be there and all of that too, but at the end of the day they are COMPETITORS, and at some point in that game (probably halftime) they really did want to win that game.

Another question, is the kicker Foster ever going to receive sexual favors in the state of Alabama again? I don't think so.

:patrice::patrice::patrice:. I'm not so sure about that. Bama edge is that every year they get the biggest, fastest, best college athletes. It's like all the college athletes gather up and Bama get's to say...I will take this one...this one...this one...

In my opinion Stoops just flat out outcoached Saban and that was the game. Malzahn outcoached him to. Both coaches said "OK Nicky you put together this big bad team of great physical college football players...but how smart are they? We are going to line up in a spread set, run about 10 different plays, and see if your players can figure it out and if you can come up with something on the fly to stop us"...

If you go back and look at that Auburn game...they really ran a handful of plays...Dive...Fake dive QB keep...Fake Dive QB Option...Fake Dive Wing Sweep...Fake Dive Play Action...Fake Wing Sweep Play action... and Bama was not even remotely close to stopping any of those plays...they were out of position virtually the entire game on defense...

And lets not forget that Utah thumped Bama years ago...cause Bama "wasn't motivated"...Bama had "nothing to play for"....that is what a good coach does...let's his team get thumped by Utah...

Samething last night...announcers kept referencing Alabama not being motivated cause they are BCS title or nothing...

Somebody up this thread when next year Nicky is getting exposed by every team running a no huddle spread

I just don't get how ya'll can continue to question the SEC. This happens every year in the Sugar Bowl. Our 2nd best team always plays down cause they are mad they didn't get to the national title game. Louisville beat Florida last year. Utah beat Bama 3 years ago.

I have just one question for you guys. What will you say if Auburn beats Florida State Monday? Are you still gonna be on this SEC dominance is a myth tip?

when the games matter, our teams dominate

the sugar bowl ain't nuthin but an exhibition game to Bama.....they played their last game of the season in November

Not taking anything away from OU, but that game meant nothing to single person on that Bama sideline last night, if they could've found a way to not play that game, they would've. OU needed that game, cause lets be real, Bama will still bring in the best class, still be rank in the top 3 come next season.
