ill take that any day for a guy like Flacco, yea it gets big down the line but its fine this year. they thought they could replace Reed and Pollard with retreads, and have him using Ed dikkson as the #2 option. i love Newsome but if BAL loses steam i have to put some of it on him, pass rush is improved but outside of Webb they dont have much in the secondary and LB coverage

lol no, but im saying that Flacco's contract is not why those guys arent there. they didnt want to extend Reed because of his bad hip, and there was no real reason that they let Pollard go in the middle of a reasonable contract. they lost a ton of talent, including Ellerbe who wasnt a big stat guy but covered alot of TE'. Pitta is gone that was his 3rd down guy

Flacco has been a above average QB his whole career. His lucky performance in the playoffs last year, although it got them a ring, will doom them. He's not that good. They are sacrificing both offensive and defensive talent to pay this guy. And...he's not really worth it

hes taking up 6% of his teams cap, the hell you talking about? most other franchise QB's have a hit around 15M, his is less than half that
