Basically this boils down to white men dictating beauty standards in the western world, and consciously or subconsciously women competing for and feeling validated by his choosing of them. Even a “my black is beautiful” self loving woman, can’t help but feel how important it is to be validated by the “tastemakers” so to speak. And YES, that has everything to do with being loved by a white man, being more important than being loved by a breh. You say she wouldn’t have gotten this much hate from white women, if she was with a breh. But she wouldn’t have also gotten this much love from BW and the world, if she was with a regular old breh. White male social capitol just means more, unless the breh is an athlete or world famous artists.
