Yahoo is now part of Verizon Media

Presley Pritchard, a former firefighter paramedic with the Evergreen Fire Rescue in Kalispell, Mont., said she was let go from her job last August after being "directly targeted due to how I looked in my gym attire," among other factors related to her social media presence. She has now filed a wrongful termination lawsuit that accuses her superiors of gender discrimination, the Daily Inter Lake reports.

According to Pritchard's lawsuit, she was ultimately fired after being asked to remove several photos of her in her firefighter uniform, as her bosses said it blurred the line between her work and her personal brand. However, the 27-year-old told Vice that a lawyer told her she didn't need to remove the photos, as her department did not have any sort of standard social media policy.

That wake up call. Why is she suing again? :comeon: shes trying too hard to make herself to be a victim.

I really dont get why it seems many people in my generation and age group dont want to understand this basic life lesson that has been around long before they were born. You are free to do whatever you want but you are never free from the consequences of your actions. The thing that gets me is she got the courtesy of being asked to take a few photos down and was given a reason why. Does she know how many employers would straight up terminated her without telling her shyt just for doing what she did.

And she had the audacity to make her fukk up into a social justice issue. fukking pathetic.

I would need to see the pictures. If they're risque in nature, then yeah. That said, I'm not comfortable with people just accepting that employers can act like that.

"Freedom of speech doesn't equal freedom from consequences" is akin to this Chinese general who killed the messengers horse and left him stranded.

You're effectively finding round about ways of bringing about the same result. Whether it is justified should be considered carefully.

Did you read the article or the quotes from the article at least? :martin: what you said had nothing to do with what the article is about.

Hint hint. The pictures in question has to do with the job she got terminated from.

No disrespect because I do the same thing unfortunately without reading first and often feel stupid when i realize that what I said had nothing to do with the article.

Post the entire article in the opening post you tit.

:mjlol: why are you mad, breh? Stop while you're ahead.

Lemme guess. You and her are the same age and you both have accountability issues. I can tell. That's why you were quick to cosign her because you're probably doing the same bs on your social media thinking you can do no wrong or whatever you want to do with no consequences. Reality doesnt work like that. This is why our generation gets a bad rap.

I dont have to tell you to read the article before you drop your response. I corrected you and told you that I do the same thing to at times so you shouldnt feel embarrassed or offended. Stop bytching up.

You starting to sound like a corporate stooge.

I'm not big on social media. I'm simply giving a nuanced view and outlining the dangers of chalking the matter up to "freedom of speech doesn't equal freedom from consequences."

What does that have to do with her being asked by her employer to take down all the photos she took of herself in her work uniform, genius? They told her that they didnt want to be associated with her personal shyt. She didnt comply because she said they had no "social media policy" and they terminated her. She then tried to play victim and claim they let her go because she is a woman when that isnt the case.

What does that have to do with free speech?

Just admit you were wrong by not reading the article because you mentioned something that had nothing to do with the article and call it a day.

You are wrong. :lolbron: sounds like you got an ego problem. You dont know what freedom of speech is because you're applying it to something it doesnt apply to. You came in here thinking I was talking about her dressing up inappropriately hence the word "risque" in your original response when I was talking about her wearing her work uniform. :lolbron: the issue is her employer doesnt want to be associated with her on her personal Instagram page.

Hell, most people that are in the workplace know common sense 101 would be not to post the place you work or who you work for on social media if you have an employer. Thats common sense. Wearing work attire with your employer listed on there is pretty much that. Most people usually dont want their employers to see their shyt anyway and thats understandable. Shes lucky they even told her that shyt to begin with. They must have really liked her.

How old are you, breh? This is just pathetic.

You are actually an idiot. An idiot who doesn't know when he is and isn't being addressed.

Here is a healthy tip. Human rights as they are applied legally exist for a reason. Ergo it is not enough to just focus on what is protected by the law when dealing with the subject matter.
