This vote was merely to open discussion on what to do with healthcare. This wasn't a vote on the healthcare bill or what the bill will do.
Now we have to debate in the senate what they will do with healthcare:
1. soft repeal/skinny repeal
2. Full repeal
3. repeal and replace.
all of which ultimately mean the end of the ACA
all of them.
skinny repeal is about removing mandates from individuals and employers which will create an actual death spiral.
insurers will flee. ACA will be dead for all intents and purposes. [medicaid expansion left in, that they can kill through budget functions]
full repeal= dead
repeal and replace -they have no fukking replace that doesnt also create an actual death spiral -dead
