it seems from my perspective as an early 20s breh in 2019, "black culture" for our youngest generations has been reduced to:
- Funny Black slang, and memes on instagram, which get leaked out into mainstream use anyway.

- Trap music

- Modern RNB: "I aint sh-t/my babydaddy aint sh-t/ i can pull up to the club and steal your b-tch/shawty mess with a real n-gga/im over all these f--kbois and n-ggas" type of Music that i hear on the radio daily.

- NBA

- NFL

-The latest dance, that will soon be copied by mainstream america and reduced to a trend that corny newscasters do on Good Morning America.

I wouldn't say that...its just that as the years go on we become more and more assimilated....clothing and entertainment I can see....all that "designer" talk fukked us over...can't think a popping black clothing line in the past decade or so....average bruh ain't dropping bread on that off white stuff cuz it costs too much....if black culture is just clothing and entertainment then from that lens...yea...but black culture is more than that...rituals..."jumping the broom" etc...inventions....social movements and so on....

Patta, 10 Deep, and The Good Company are three black-owned streetwear brands doing pretty well. Black people need to think beyond these labels pimped by musicians and discover new brands on their own.

I remember back in the day when so called black history month was special with all the interesting docs, even the music on the radio was on some black power shyt etc.

Now you got so many kids who don't know anything about history. They don't have the attention span for shyt, you got to 'flashcard' or do short video skits for these mofukkers to have any interest.
