So you are a married man? I always figured you are an uncommitted 17 year old with lots of free time and no responsibilities with the way you post heavy on arcadium. How do you find the time to game?
thsi is another thng I find non married ppl think.

I have just enough time to play games, make music, do what I want. Its just that your priorities change.

Now I'd rather be at home playing games with my kids or watching some movie or something than out running with the boys.
Alot of ppl don't know how to balance that.

Having a family just means you have less time for procrastination. Before marriage I was able to sit around doing nothing. Now, I need to plan ahead and make sure things are taken care of. People look at me strange when they see how much I get done. I read a bunch of books, record music (I have a pretty dope little studio set up), do photography and just started shooting music videos, play video games, own a house, 2 cars, 2 dogs, go to the shooting range regularly, go fishing, play ball, cook, etc. Life couldn't be any better for me. I'm blessed.

I got married pretty young, but my wife accepted me even though I was a single dad at the time. We have our differences and we have arguments but over 20 years in, there is a calm and a peacefulness we share. I wouldn't trade my wife for the world.

:salute:Its all good.
I post a lot on the coli from 9 - 5 because I have a crazy laid back office job and two monitors.
My activity on here drops substantially (to almost nothing on most nights) after 5.
Last year I finished my Associates Degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude. It was hard, but I still had time for everything I enjoy and still took good care of my family. It's possible. It just takes a lot more focus than when I was single and just playing it by ear every day. The job I have now is going to pay for my college so I'm going back to school for a Bachelors or a Masters in Business Administration. My AS is in Network Security.

I ended up married to a woman who earns more than me, comes from a good family, has a good history, very pretty, and is compatible with me. Do I recommend it? It's a way to save money and get input on situations in life, but honestly, if youre a man whos comfortable in his own space, you do not need to get married. I did it because there were virtually no downsides(for me) and several benefits(she pays some of the bills, buys things for the house, pays the HOA fees, etc). If you marry a woman that doesn't out earn you, has a gang of bodies and male friends and comes from a bad family, etc etc, that's dumb to me, but people do it all the time then complain. :yeshrug:
So basically you're a golddigger....you married to make it easier on yourself finically and that is very selfish. I feel bad for your wife because she could've done better.

Like I said, a series of poor choices. If women approach you at bars, try to sit at a booth. Or eat in your room. Or don't go to the bar. If they approach you say 'I'm married' and KIM. Yea situations can present themselves but you have to make multiple conscious decisions to keep playing with that fire
I don't think he has to eat alone in his bedroom. Just be upfront letting the person know you're married, unless he like the ego boost etc.

Married after a year of dating. Figured I reached the pinnacle of my ability to attract a female.
:manny:
I would not get married if I could do it all over again.
Nor do I recommend anyone else get married...There is way too much compromise.
I realize that the comfort and stability that I enjoy daily are all due to my wife's support and encouragement, but I've sacrificed all of my personal freedoms and personal life goals in order to be "married". The daily routine gets stale real fukking quick. You don't go out anymore, your friends leave, your family leaves, you can't be yourself, you can't just have a quiet moment, work becomes more fun than being home, being home is nothing but a chore or complete boredom, you have a permanent attachment to a boring person all weekend that's so bad that you yearn to go back to work on monday, the only thing you really have going for you after a while is being able to say you're with someone and stable.
Then once you're in you can't leave or you're back broke and poor or in jail for murder.
It's not worth it.
If you don't get married in the first place, you avoid all this bullshyt.

I would rather go back to making 40k a year and living in a ratty studio apartment, interacting with my blood family on the regular and enjoying all that life has to offer, rather than living a complacent safe excitement devoid life of stability and boredom.

I'm not driven by looks or p*ssy so I don't have any desire to cheat on my wife or give in to other females chasing me, I only want back what I was born with...

My fukkin freedom to live...

CONS:
I'm never going to get my college degree
I'm never gonna have a new car
I'm never gonna see the world outside of this country
I'm never gonna work the jobs I want to
I'm never gonna have sex again
I'm never gonna meet new people
I'm never gonna make new friends
I'm never gonna take another road trip
I'm never gonna do anything significant with my life from here on out

PROS:
Stability
Bragging rights over being married longer than anyone I knew
Someone has my back constantly
Love
My kid
Tax breaks
Yikes....you are miserable. This is why you don't settle people but also be realistic. You don't ever do something because you think it's your best even when you know deep down inside it's crap. I once settled and never again.
