Serious Question: How do we grade Drake as an MC now?

Drake can certainly flow and deliver and vocally he's very sharp but, he's a rapper, plain and simple you can't call him an MC that's not a negative thing. But at this point you just insulting that branding

Fact of the matter is we don't know how much he wrote.

He never came out and said "ok I didn't write "if you're reading this" but TML is all me". That's the least he could do to retain some sort of credibility. Since not, his whole catologue is possibly someone else's.

Hush is credited for the majority of his rap content across two albums and just what he decided to share with him publishing wise. We know enough to know that he should be exempt from the "MC" conversation, PERIOD.

Even his fans try to resort to calling him some sort of trancendant talent that goes beyond the boudnaries of rap and yadda yadda...ok then. If he's not subject to the same standards as other Emcees then you can't grade him on the scale. That's Beiber/Rihanna territory.

The only difference between them is that he pulled some Trojan horse maneuver and legitimized himself with rap first. Nobody would be rating Beiber when/if he decides to drop a rap album even if the shyt was banging. Premo wouldn't even let him spit a verse in the BET cipher once he found out would be written by someone else.
