Live Nation is bed in with Jay Z of course they gone say the tours are selling. The 10 year deal he did with them is going to be 90% joint tours with Beyonce.

Because

Live Nation is in bed with every big artist :what:. The box office numbers were his biggest for any US tour. Nearly 50ms in less than 2 months, solo.

And this is not from Live Nation but the official box office if you need more sources :snoop:
Higher prices and a push to keep tickets on the primary help rapper bank big on 4:44 Tour.
JAY-Z grossed $48.7 million on his 32-date 4:44 tour November and December, a vindication of sorts for the hip-hop star who faced rumors that a lack of instant sellouts meant soft demand.

Sales weren't bad -- they were just slow, as in slow ticketing. JAY-Z is the latest artistto embrace the slow ticketing model, blocking out bots and scalpers that instantly buy up tickets by pricing premium tickets higher and closer to their actual value (i.e. what they would fetch on secondary market sites like StubHub) while keeping less desirable seats relatively inexpensive. The move means more money for artists like JAY-Z through platinum ticket sales and VIP, while keeping upper-level seats relatively inexpensive and available to fans.

Scalpers hate slow ticketing because it leaves them little room to markup premium seats and forces them to compete with rows of cheap seats sold directly by the artist. When Taylor Swift utilized a similar strategy for her 2018 Reputation Tour, many tried to argue the lack of instant sellouts was a result of tepid demand for Swift, only to find out the tour cleared an impressive $180 million in sales the first seven days tickets were on sale.

For JAY-Z, the rapper sold 426,441 tickets on the 32-date tour, grossing $44.7 million in ticket sales and another $4 million in platinum and VIP tickets, averaging an impressive $1.5 million per show. That's up substantially from his other two solo treks -- the 2013-2014 Magna Carta Tour reported 42 shows to Billboard Boxscore with an attendance of 436,939 and $37.4 in ticket sales. JAY's 2009-2010 Blueprint 3 Tour grossed $33.1 million with 439,540 tickets sold for 39 shows, according to Billboard Boxscore.

It doesn't matter if it was the "best", it's some of the most recognizable. Artists have plenty of best material that doesn't get its proper respect. Kanye brought him into the late 00s to 10s.
Big Pimpin
I Just Wanna Love You
Excuse Me Miss
Dirt/Shoulder
Hard Knock Life
Can I Get A...
Money Aint a Thang
Money, Cash, Hoes (?)

These were all his biggest songs in the early 00s and not one produced by Kanye except Izzo. As far as the late 00s, The Black Album had two Kanye produced songs and neither were the biggest or best songs on that album. Kanye didnt touch another Jay song until BP3. And none of the songs he did were the biggest or best on that album (maybe Run This Town). We already into 2014 now with Magna Carta and Kaybe didnt touch that at all either. Obviously wasnt on 4:44. But Obviously he WAS on Watch the Throne.

So basically youre saying that Jay Z is irrelevant without Watch the Throne?:gucci:

How many artists do they have 200 million investment money in? Kanye got a 20 mil loan from Live Nation cuz Jay Z vouched for him.

You telling me the same guy who's motto was "make a 1 million look like 10 million" when he was coming up wouldn't feed news outlets exaggerated stories about his touring ability?

nikkas just hate to hate. They don't see how powers that be aren't trying to see a black man win. That's why they keep coming with all sorts of slanted articles against Jay. He intentionally priced the tickets high to price out scalpors and it worked. Instead of getting praise about that, they made articles saying his shyt wasn't buzzing despite videographic evidence proving the contrary. I challenge anyone to find a video or pic of any show on the 4:44 tour with an empty arena.

He was, huh? I remember DMX and others complaining about him.
They was complaining about Jay Z being ceo because they only saw him as their peer. Also the fact that LL got passed over for the position, since he has been with def jam from the beginning.

He probably would have never come out of retirement after the Black Album and we be a Steve Stoute type just doing business moves in the background.

I think he kinda alluded to it on Kingdom Come. If he wasn’t insecure or competitive about his wife being the biggest thing in music, he’d probably walked away years ago.
You nas cocksuckers can’t even help yourselves:mjlol:

This might be too high level for you, but give it a try.

or Taylor Swift's Ticket Strategy: Brilliant Business or Slowing Demand?

Live Nation are using a "price discrimination" strategy to maximize profit for all these big shows.
This is all spin.

Truth is resellers gobbled up all the tickets when they were released and the demand wasn’t there so they were selling tickets for $10 to make up some losses

Jayz and Livenation still made there money but it’s bad business going forward

This isn’t really an indictment on Jayz cause Cole and is not moving tickets like he once did

I think we are starting to see some fatigue from fans from all these big shows

Ok, so they are spinning all their big artists tours that are breaking records to save them from the Coli commenting on ticket prices :lolbron:

They are entering the 21st century and using analytics (see statistics) for their pricing strategies, just like airlines have been doing for decades.
