So Appalled is nice cause Jay and Push killed it and monster is the only weak song on that album. Same thing with Clique and it’s not produced by Kanye. Kanye is not the only dope producer in the world, Jay can work with whoever he wants. He chose to work with Kanye, not the other way around. These are facts before Jay, Kanye was a bum. Before Kanye Jay was that nikka.

That’s all we know, now what would Jay do if he told Kanye to stay working with Shwanna and them? What would jay be doing today? What would Kanye be doing? Who the fukk knows, what if Soulja Slim was alive would he have taken Beyoncé and Jays lane? What if Just Blaze became a programmer, would Jays tours never take off cause Blaze got the best energetic Jay songs? Are you guys god?

The trolling in the spot has reached another level lately without any comedy
And you have the nerve to talk about trolling. I've said nothing negative about either artist. We're discussing the ebbs and flows of Jay's career and Kanye played a significant role in the latter part. Why do we need to shyt on either artist to discuss this topic? Has Kanye ever said working with Jay didn't elevate him to the big leagues? No. And I'm not saying that either.

And Kanye did produce on Clique. Check the credits.

It was a hit-boy beat, Kanye might've added a fart. Just like he gives credit to 1000 people on every song.

First and foremost Kanye is my top 3 of producers, top 10 in rappers and favorite rapper of the past 18 years. But that doesn't mean that I can't call him a bum when he was doing wack freestyles and producing for other bums before he connected with the Jay and them. Just like Jay was a bum in relation to what he became before his shyt took off. (He might've had money, but crack dealers are bums in my world for what they did to the communities).

Like I said, there's nothing indicating that Jay wouldn't be just as popular without Kanye because his career did not elevate. But with Kanye he created classics. That's all we know, this guessing game is wack. Specially when it's static as hell, it's like saying "If Harvard didn't exist, what would Obama be doing :mjlit:"

Like you said. We don't know. But the rest of what you said is filler. We're both fans OF both. Let the stans war it out amongst themselves.

nikkas just hate to hate. They don't see how powers that be aren't trying to see a black man win. That's why they keep coming with all sorts of slanted articles against Jay. He intentionally priced the tickets high to price out scalpors and it worked. Instead of getting praise about that, they made articles saying his shyt wasn't buzzing despite videographic evidence proving the contrary. I challenge anyone to find a video or pic of any show on the 4:44 tour with an empty arena.

mchg made less tour rev than yeezus and if kanye wouldnt have twoke, saint pablo would have doubled the revenue of 4:44 tour

beyonce tour numbers also drastically drop when she tours with jay, same with timberlake as well.

:camby:

Kanye needed Jay more than Jay needed him. Where woukd Kanye be if he never made beats for Jay? Jay was already hige before Kanye. Jay already had huge hits and critical acclaim. Kanye didn't become a sought aftet producer until after he did "This Can't Be Life" and more notably "Izzo" for Jay.

Kanye hasn't had a huge album or single since the one he did for Jay.

Before Jay Z, Beyonce had a flopped single as a solo artist and the label told her she didn't have a hit song. "Bonnie & Clyde" helped establish her as a solo and her single "Crazy In Love" catapulted her into superstardom. "Bu, bu Beyonce was a superstar since Destiny's Child". Yeah, she was so huge, the label made Kelly Rowland's solo a priority over Beyonce's after Beyonce's Neptunes produced "Work It Out" flopped at at time when everything they produced was a hit.

What does anything you said have to do with 4:44's tour success? I never compared him to Kanye or Beyonce or anyone for that matter.

you said people were hating in a thread about how his collabs make him more successful.

really his tour numbers are more on par with drake by himself. jay's number shoot up when he tours with others, while others go down.

Yeezus with Kendrick Lamar Grossed 25 million
Kanye West's Yeezus Tour Among Highest Grossing Tours of 2013

MCHG with Timbo Grossed 48.9 (including Europe)
4:44 solo Grossed 49 (only states and Canada)

Why would lie about things that are one google away? :dahell:

But she never was BEYONCE without Jay

This. People are forgetting that Jay-Z was a major solo rapper star around 1998-2003 and Beyonce was just the lead singer of Destiny's Child. Jay-Z is washed now, but he was bigger than Beyonce was when they got together and it wasn't really close. Beyonce wasn't as big as Justin Timberlake as a solo artist either circa 2003 or 2006. The marriage, the creation of the Beyhive, and this black female empowerment narrative is what pushed Beyonce upwards, more than her actual music. I don't know many casual Beyonce fans who could name you 10 of her solo songs off the tops of their heads. Her solo career is propaganda.

That doesn't even make sense in 2003 he sold more/the same as her and in 2009 he did it again and they've been going pretty even. (Her international reach is on another level though).
Jay-z fans generally don't care about Beyonce, and Beyonce fans generally don't care about Jay-z. It's just like Tyga being married to one of the most known people and still sold like 3k.
Did you just compare Beyoncé to Kylie Jenner?

Okay Pal. MBDTF. Monster? So Appalled? Cruel Summer Clique? Run this Town? I specifically mentioned the late 00s to early 10s. Yet you're acting as if I took that away from Jay by mentioning all these early 00s hits.

However, in regards to WTT. How many times have the crowds begged Jay to do an encore for a song? Do I need to mention the NIP craze that literally swept the globe?

Kylie Jenner has 110 million followers on IG is one of the most covered people in entertainment and had media covering her baby like the next Queen of the UK was being born. Tyga sold 2k or something when he was with her, with dudes logic he should at least sell the same amount as he did before.

There's plenty of examples of people in which one is bigger than the other and that doesn't mean shyt.
People don't listen to shyt they don't like, that's the main point. Beyonce was not out promoting Jay-z and Jay was not out promoting Beyonce.
Hits, moves and solid fanbases that they've accumulated and maintained for decades is what they strive of.
