Atheists are a main reason why I don't engage in religious discussions

To be honest I never saw the fascination about Atheists until coming on this board. Most are under the radar. I have a few friends that I didn't even know were athiests until we both disagreed about that whole Creflo Dollar Jet scam.Last I checked, Atheists don't try to push their beliefs on people through legislation nor do they murder people for drawing pictures of ancient desert dwellers
It's always religious people trying to push something on you.

I was walking down the street last night and one of those street preachers stopped me and asked me if I believed in Christianity. I told him no and he gave me the classic lecture about Hell and all. I don't get how a person would want to believe in a God that would send someone to burn for all eternity just because they don't believe in a God that gives us no proof that he exists at all

religion can be summed up this simply:
christians believe jesus was gods/son, and you have to accept that to achieve salvation. muslims say nah, he was just a prophet
now is one side right, meaning the other half is wrong and going to hell? or does god not care, rendering the importance they place on their religion, meaningless?

Another thing that these people don't realize is that if hell is real, that makes God worse than even the worst dictators and tyrants this world has ever seen. Some Jews may have survived months or years in a concentration camp, this motherfukker wants to constantly torture you day and night for the rest of eternity. Hitler looks like a philanthropist in comparison.
