That's what normal people do...who are looking to settle with someone. Dating for 5+years is a waste of people's time.

I heard most people start considering that in 3-4 years.. 1 or 2 years sounds way too early for me. But I'm 21, I'm not trying to get married now.

i think it's more about finding out what there feelings are on marriage and if they want to eventually get married. i think within a year these things should be clear. not that they should both promise to eachother they'll get married, i agree that would be to early. just to know their feeling on the subject in general even if it's not for sure yet with them. and if they atleast want to build towards that or not. just figuring out values and life-plans regardless of who it's with.

Guys here seem so pro-bachelor. Im all for it as well but what happens when your 44 and 10 years after that, still have no kids and wife? That COULD very well be the norm then but i doubt it. Most men need women by there sides to balance life out. Of course most of the "get married brehs" memes stem from women being disloyal thots. But we all want to be happy at the end of the day. Maybe its just me but i have no desire to smash 100s of women to find the one. Im 29 and i only want one female that i can see raising my kids, enjoying my company and has the desire to build a strong family foundation. Thots (casual thots) dont have this mentality so its becoming easier to reject these only good for fukking chicks out of the pool.

Haven't thought about it, probably just be a hermit.

I suppose people in their late 20s-early 30s would start adopting that mindset, so But I do know someone from high school who just got married two weeks ago. I don't know how long she was dating him, but I don't think they were during high school. All I know is, if I do marry, I'd wanna do everything I want now so I don't regret it when I can't.
