Their style was so unique. There was none before and none after. Im sitting here listening to them and the music hasn't aged AT ALL!!! :ohlawd:

Depends on how you define original. In terms of the rhyming style, the singing/rhyming thing was definitely new compared to other groups. But aesthetically, lyrically, beats, etc, weren't that original- groups like Wu Tang were much more original in those categories.
Rhyming and singing, they did nothing Freestyle Fellowship didn't already do.
freestyle fellowship would disagree with you

Came in to say this.

Im talking the harmony, flow, and rap aspect of it. Im talking music not look, story, or aesthetics.

Im listening to a Freestyle Fellowship song now (first time) and I don't think they sound like BTNH. Especially with the fact that Bone Thugs N Harmony rapped fast on top of everything else.

One song? :beli:

Listen to the Innercity Griots album. Songs like Mary, Innercity Boundaries, and Six Tray. They started the staccato sing-sing melodic flow.
