NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
LOL, I remember reading Carmen's book and she was saying Nas was lazy even back before he made Illmatic but everybody just thought he was trying to perfect his music. Doesn't matter to me though because the music is still :ahh:
The same woman who said he had a secret apartment with mad rhymes all over the place..

Nas is in my top 5, but the whole concept of rappers over 40 being prolific is very uncommon...Dude is pretty much in the victory lap stage of his career and quite frankly I can do without hearing old n1ggas rap all the time..Even ones I'm huge fans of...If we're waiting on dudes like Nas to "restore the feeling" that's actually a sad commentary on the state of rap..

If he puts out an album every few years that's cool.. He's not competing with the dudes on radio now and trying to hustle to stay relevant and release every cycle..He's not gonna follow the trends and do auto tune or turn up..

He's Martin Scorcese not Tyler Perry...

Tell that to U2, Cold Play and the countless over 40 artists still touring across the world and making music for their fans. Hip hop should embrace the legends an anticipate music from an artist like Nas and those of his caliber.

No disrespect to Carmen but the word "LAZY " from a woman who hasn't worked for 20+ yrs of her life. Lived quite comfortable off of Nas' hard earned money/success for 18 yrs and is still currently unemployed.

He never said that though, U2 don't release an album every year, and neither do Coldplay who aren't comparable to Nas anyways.

Is there another Distant Relatives in the works?

Also, the new album dropping soon. The Key to... Nas's longevity is his diversity. But that Diversity has also been the Achilles heel so to speak on why a classic album falls just short of being a classic to the masses
As an artist, he has to be aware of what I'm talking about. Me, I'm a writer, so I have some incite in the creative process. With that said, don't ever sell out. If I hear a song with Nas & the Chipmunks (autotune) then I'm putting him on DMX status.

Finally, we NEED a Belly 3 bruh.

The touring is fine...But U2 has released 4 albums in the past 15 years and I don't think many people are calling them lazy... In the past 15 years Nas has released 9 albums...

Red Rocks, just same boring ass set..do one verse of a classic then forget half his bars. Dude is terrible on stage lately.

It looked like he was getting better having to do the same material over and over again.
