RD only became a classic years after it dropped. Illmatic and IWW were classic the moment they dropped. Nas won.
nah Ilmatic was clearly ahead of Reasonable Doubt....
But American Gangster and Untitled are about the same too me.
American gangster because of the way it was sequenced, the witty / cleaver lines and shadowing of the movie were piff.
But untitled is still an untouchable classic in a league of its own, due to timing of the election with Obama. And depth of Nas's lyrics.
There's no song AG that's touching the depthness...."No Hook" comes close but doesn't hold a candle to this song,,,

The pot calling everyone else black. This site is full of autistic retards, lmao @ how some dummy thought this was the proper spot to put this shytty ass thread.
The pot calling everyone else black.
I'm dead ass serious. @CrimsonTider has agreed with me on this. If Untitled came out when I was 14 and still on my backpacker shyt I would have loved it. By then, there was no subject on that album I had not already read about or understood. So all I had left was the actual music. Aside from highlights like "black president" "y'all my nikkas", etc. I found that shyt boring. Sly Fox, who as a freshmen/sophomore in college at the time did not know Fox was on some bullshyt? I have not revisited that album since that year so I don't know, but I remember that is when I stopped checking for Nas for a minute. To this day I have never listened to all of DR and that would be unheard of for a HS BarNone who was literally raised by his cousin to see Nas as the God MC.
Thats exactly how I feel about Untitled. Also Queens get money sounds like someone rapping like Jay electronica(but thats another story).I'm dead ass serious. @CrimsonTider has agreed with me on this. Its like that album gets held in high regard because of the message but it is lacking musically. I don't need rapper to talk about that type of stuff especially high school dropouts.
HHID > Untitled & LIG
RD > Illmatic
IWW > Illmatic
I just don't hear what y'all heads hear in Illmatic especially when you say its better than an album that Has "Can I Live", "D evils", "Dead Presidents" there is nothing on Illmatic that sounds as good as those songs.
