I think it's a great album but certain songs drag it down.
For example, "Hero" and "Make the world go round".
They're not terrible but they feel out of place on the album and were likely
tracks the label put on the album when they were working out their issues with Nas.
oh mos def, there's definitely a few throw away tracks, and obvious for the radio tracks( "hero"
"we make the world go round")

But I feel like N.i.g.g.e.r.; Black President, America, Breathe are solid enough tracks to carry an entire album....
and completely shyt on anything Jay put around that time period(kingdom cum and BP3), aside from AG

Nas can still make good music in his 40's rapping about varied subject matter.

Camel had to go back to rapping about coke to make the only good album he's made in the past 12 years.

GOAT >camel. That goes without saying at this point though.

I'm dead ass serious. @CrimsonTider has agreed with me on this. If Untitled came out when I was 14 and still on my backpacker shyt I would have loved it. By then, there was no subject on that album I had not already read about or understood. So all I had left was the actual music. Aside from highlights like "black president" "y'all my nikkas", etc. I found that shyt boring. Sly Fox, who as a freshmen/sophomore in college at the time did not know Fox was on some bullshyt? I have not revisited that album since that year so I don't know, but I remember that is when I stopped checking for Nas for a minute. To this day I have never listened to all of DR and that would be unheard of for a HS BarNone who was literally raised by his cousin to see Nas as the God MC.
:what: But I bet you still check for camel
I haven't fukked with camel in a minute either though. Not since WTT....

I'm willing to bet LG was a million times better than MCHG

They both had to perform gay sex acts on Jewish executives and sacrifice their relatives to Freemasons to get fame, tho.

Sidebar: When did you fall off so much? :mjcry: It's like you're just an amalgamation of the default player for every forum you post in. It's like if I google generic response from a poster from this forum I will be lead to a Serious post. Went from nominated for HL POY to sounding like a poor man's 88m3. :scusthov:. At least I retired form posting full time in HL before the wolves could get a me.

On topic: the BP3 has hits and was fun at college parties...if you're going to do a pop rap album, I'd rather that than Flo-Rida or that Black-Eyed Peas shyt that I could not escape in 09. That I GOT A FEELING bullshyt. :manny:. It was obviously not prime Jay and I never revisit it. But KC vs. HHID is the more appropriate comparison seeing how they came out at about the same time. Both have strong and weak points. I have no idea why you're so invested in this Jay vs. Nas shyt. Jay, Nas and 2Pac are my 3 favorite rappers followed by Common and 3stacks. I would never hate on any of those dudes.

Cats don't really read, and I have a mild form of dyslexia so, it's takes me a while to fully write issues out...

Nah I don't want to hear Jay-z go that route....I hold Jay to a higher standard lyrically....Idk how breh goes from grown up shyt like:

Are we still hustling or all grown up :skip:

Point is jay has exponentially been trash for years. :yeshrug:
Meanwhile Nas making classic albums.
I can't even really ride with Common any more, it's been hard for me to even play brehs music, after hearing some of his comments in the news....

And I don't hate Jay, just think he's way overrated. He doesn't hold a candle to Nas(lyrically)...

:ohhh: speak on it
:dahell: is there to speak about.....

JK

I was diagnosed with it as a kid, and they tried to put me in special classes, but my mom wasn't having it. So I worked with a tutor and my grandma (who is a retired teacher)on learning to recognize the inherit differences in my perception. Anyways I only recently figured out that this problem still persisted, when I failed( got a D) in a remedial english class in college. After I narrowed down the possible reason for my poor grammatical skills, I realized I was still being plagued by it. So every time I write something I have to really have to look at the structure of my sentences minimize my errors. If you ever look at some of my posts, especially long ones, there's bound to be quite a few grammatically errors in them. The reasoning behind it is I'm either too lazy to correct it or I didn't say it / can't notice it. Because simplest way to explain dyslexia is whatever I'm thinking / trying to convey, isn't properly being portrayed on the screen(written), so when contractions and prepositions come into play that's where the real fukk ups happen. So say I'm trying to write "don't", up revision I might actually have "do" and it looks correct. Essentially my mind fills in a lot of gaps.I could thinking over some next level piff in my head, but when I write it out, it looks like absolute shyt. It looks almost as I barely understand english sometimes. But when I speak I properly relay my thoughts.

That's where I'm at. Jay's good, great even, one of the best, just Nas is better :manny: Different styles, different topics, and the same topics too, Nas is just better. Not saying Jay is bad, just saying Nas is better.
