U can tell he's hurt by his crying over reactions...that's always been John Cena. Say things like it doesn't offend you but you can't talk about anything else in your promos except the fans who boo you out which means you know you're legacy isn't safe. So keep pumping out those Make a Wish foundation videos to get sympathy...maybe it will stick for a lesser type of fan.

I'm likely the only male over 10 years old who cheers for Cena His character is stale and his win/loss ratio is absurd but you can't deny he's got the talent, drive, and it factors of a superstar

Brock coming back to squash Cena at SummerSlam last year has made Wrestling worth watching again after 10 years.

I get it Cena is needed to sell merchandise to little kids but luckily Brock headlined Wrestlemania & SummerSlam this year.

Now that Cena is a mid card guy things are getting better again because he's not forced into the main event of major PPV's.

It's not getting all that better..he still went over everyone. Wyatt, Owens got PUMMELED and brought down after being hot, Rusev was on fire but got buried hard, Ziggler was NEVER really the same after Cena buried his ass two years ago, Sami Zahyn was basically squashed in that match no matter what nyggas say...the best thing about this was that Cena was used as just a buffer for the Rollins/Sting match.

Purely character related. John the Baptist is stale as shyt (prior to the US title run) but it's hilarious to see those who hate him on an extreme level go off all the time, so he kinda serves a purpose

At a certain point you just realize that resistance is futile, and some people become Cena fans to troll the internets in light of this.

He's capable enough in the ring and a good talker, the problem is what he usually does is goofy promos in fake folk tough guy accents and promos about how he loves that the WWE Universe can boo him if they want. Basically there's no way you shouldn't hate him other than trolling or because your kid likes him.

He's pretty terrible at every aspect of his job and the company wants everyone to ignore it and think he's awesome. Also he represents pretty much everything wrong with WWE as a whole and has for the last decade+.

Cena's problem is that he got over being an edgy rapper, man of the people type of character and people loved it... then as soon as he won the title, he switched brands to RAW and dropped everything that made his current character work to be the typical whitewashed, all American, company man vanilla babyface. And the fans never forgave him for it.


He got over using Hiphop as his crutch and like so many others, once he made it, he sold out. He dumbed downed his character to double his dollars, but acts as if he did nothing wrong and all the Make-A-Wish kids he helps will never change that fact. What Rock said about people being able to see through that rang true.

The fact that dude has held the title 15 times in his short span should tell you enough...yeah dude "carried" the company but no one else was given a fair chance. And dude's iron clad creative control allows him to use the same stale promos, the same moveset and stay incredibly over without changing a single thing for the business that he loves so much. Everyone has their unique character but some changed things up, even the Undertaker did his biker character and it got over. I'm surprised dude doesn't get bored after cutting the same "you want some come get some" promo every fukking week.
