For them to give a fukk I think there needs to be viable competition on a major network. With no other major player in town they have no incentive to take risks. There is no fear of a John Cena or a Randy Orton showing up in prime time on a rivals show ala Luger/Hall/Nash on Nitro. It's why I hope TNA can stick around and hopefully build. It's why I hope GFW is a success. NJPW on AXS TV with an American broadcast team/weekly show is something else I hope is successful. Hopefully it's successful enough that it can move to another station that is seen in more households. Basically an organization needs to cause the brain trust in Stamford to say "We can no longer rest on our laurels, this other company is starting to gain on us, we have to start taking chances".
that's definitely one way.
but playing it safe isn't the only thing holding them back right now, wouldn't you agree? i mean even if they turned john cena heel tomorrow you would still have more faith in them fukking it up right?
either:
a) there's just a MASSIVE lack of effort being put into the overall quality of the product.
b) upper management really is that clueless
c) the managerial and creative structure of the company has been compromised.
my question is even if they DID have to step it up, do you really trust the current people in charge to deliver?
