Whether it's acting a fool at a night club, or Merking NY nikkas who came down and tried to disrespect their money, to the Jamaicans that tried to strong arm the dope game back in 2001. You don't know too many Black folks in Charlotte. Just the other day I saw a white dude try a Black dude at the CVS on Beatties Ford Rd. Black dude had a Broncos jersey on and the white dude was in front of him buying some shyt with a Panthers hat on. The cashier starts going back and forth on some friendly NFL banter type shyt with the Black dude and then the white dude turns around and joins in. Nothing really that serious, but as the white guy walks out the store he cracked a joke about dude rocking a Broncos jersey as he was leaving and then all the sudden the Black dude wants to start getting loud and shyt like "mf'er you dont know me type shyt" and I just looked at him asked him why he waited till the white dude was out the store to get loud and aggressive. Dude looked back at me with the ice grill and I shot his ass one right back. nikka didn't say shyt else. Thats the shyt Im talking about, it may be normal to you but white folks way to comfortable here just saying what ever they feel like to random nikkas that they don't know. And I was on the B Ford bro, right across from LaSalle St where all those nikkas post up at, so it wasn't like I was in white folks hood. This white man felt perfectly fine stopping at a CVS on his way home from work in one of the worst parts of the city and joking with random nikkas like its cool.

Reads like a typical day in NC.
And my point is that it seems to only be THIS state that Blacks are so accepting of being shytted on by whites.
Still zero fukks given about the kid that got lynched.
No fukks given by the cheerleaders when their white mates said "lets chang nikka at the next game".
No fukks given when the Klan holds their rallies at the state capitol building in downtown Raleigh.

No where else (that ive lived) are the Blacks so disengaged with being Black, and with Black issues, as they are here..and it's ACDCEPTED amongst them. And I cannot stress enough how YOU become the target/enemy if you dare to speak up against white atrocities. The Blacks here will come down on YOU, not the oppressor.

I live in Raleigh. I DARE you to try to come up in here and lie about this sweet southern town being "hard" or something.

But if you must know what I would rep if I was still a snot nosed little boy running around "reppin" things, I'm from PHILLY. (although I also spent 10 years prior to that growing up in Spanishtown, Kingston, and Clarendon, Jamaica).
And NONE of those places harbor an instinctively complacent-to-white-oppression attitude like Black population does in NC.

If you've lived here for North Carolina for a reasonable amount of time, you know the race issues we face isn't just about the good-ol-boys network (old-school racial profiling prevalent statewide but especially heavy in the smaller, piece of crap towns), but also these fake liberals who come from the Northeast thinking they can come down here and steamroll blacks.

In the past two weeks I've had to threaten the jobs of my coworker AND my manager because these NewLiberals think because they voted for Obama, listen to rap, smashed a black woman back in High School, they are cool with the blacks and can even treat me like the token black coworker.

I've got no problem admitting NC has race issues. Because this is where I live, where I plan on building my future business, so I have to deal with it - Not an ATLien or New Yorker who comes here for a weekend and expects it to be a world-class city in Beta.

I'm not riding anything, rather, simply drawing a conclusion from years of observation...observation that has obviously been shared by everyone else who visits as well.

And fine, I'm glad you have no issue admitting NC has "race issues", unfortunately that's not what this thread is about

This entire NATION has race issues, some worst than NC. No, MANY worst than NC. But again, wrong thread if that's what you want to talk about.

Don't try to make an argument based off hood knowledge when the numbers clearly disprove what you are saying. After all the talk Atlanta gets on this forum, and all of the numbers that show how Atlanta has catapulted to the go-to city of the southeast right there with Miami, you are telling me that isn't true, for no other reason than to bash NC.

And back to the main point of race, Atlanta is heavily segregated, just like most cities. If you want to imagine that Atlanta/GA has no racial tensions, then keep imagining it. But I see this race issue for what it is - not just in my city/state, but on the news and internet its obvious that White Pride (or black hate) is on the rise Nationwide, not some isolated issue. I don't know whats going on in Birmingham, other than its falling/stagnant population, and high poverty/crime, which is not consistent with "running circles" around anyone.

Don't play this regional game unless you actually know whats going on and can prove with numbers and facts. Based on what you've said so far you don't have a clear picture of any of the cities you've named.

I lived in LA for a few years, I own a house in ratchet ass Gary and I visit Chicago at least once a month and I got family from DC to NY. Atlanta is a major city but it is not on that level of a NYC when it comes to being world class. I dont care what some world ranking Alpha/Beta survey says, we not in the same ball park as NYC. We got a lot to offer but comparing a metro of 5 million to one of over 20 million is foolish.

And Atlanta is not segregated, you don't know what you're talking about. Not one bit homie. Not going to act like Atlanta doesn't have racist Cacs, cuz its does. But the city is no where near segregated. There are Black folks all over Atlanta, there really isn't an all white part of town. Even in the richest areas like Buckhead you will still see a decent number of Black people. We go where ever the white folks go, we live where they live and we eat and party in the same spots as they do. And outside of that we have all Black neighborhoods like Cascade that are just as nice as any white part of town. There is no equivalent to Cascade here in Charlotte, not even close.

And dude the Black people that are eating good here in Charlotte are all working for corporate America, Black business ownership here is non-existent compared to Atlanta. For a city with this many Black people there is no reason that NO local restaurants, lounges or clubs are owned by Charlotte Blacks outside of maybe Kai's Kookies and a few hood food spots and BBQ/soul spots here or there. Yall dont own shyt up here, and the locals get mad and defensive when you point it out. That cat Peter Thomas came up here and opened up a Bar ONE in Charlotte and did numbers just off the fact that there is no competition. He couldn't keep a spot open in the A for more than a year, the Bar ONE in Atlanta was an epic failure.

Ain't nobody bashing the city if they make an observation about the lack of that here, they are just stating facts.

Yeah it's sad bruh. But its hard to keep feeling sad for these cats because they will be so quick to argue with you when you point the stuff out. I'm not surprised in the least that some folks reacted like this because I've seen this very same thing here in real life. Half the people from here will admit that it's true then the other half get real defensive and argumentative. I just get so tired of hearing that "oh its the south" or "oh we're a young city" because at the end of the day I'm from the south too and its not like this and Charlotte is old as hell, its damn near 100 years older than my city. But what puts the icing on the cake for me is when these cats up here call Charlotte a Lil' ATL, if I had a dollar for everytime I heard that just in the little bit of time Ive been here......

That shyt chaps my hide like no other, this shyt is nothing like Atlanta and this shyt is not Atlanta 30 years ago. Charlotte is in it's own lane and the only similarities are that both cities are in the Piedmont region of the south. Thats it.
