My favorite Ali Vegas track, he did have a strong buzz, he was backed by Colombia and Trackmasters the same time 50 was, in l999, he was a big part of the 'In Too Deep' sdtk which was a promo tool for him, 50, Nas, and Nature. R Kelly and Vegas had a track on there, or maybe I'm mistaken.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Every single person on Earth compared him to Nas, even Nas did when he rapped in front of him for the Trackmasters back in 1998. shyt when the song "The Specialist" came out, everyone thought that WAS Nas, especially because it came on during his scene on In Too Deep.

Don't know your rap history brehs
I mean I had the In Too Deep soundtrack..I never thought he was Nas ever cause his voice was way lighter..but he did go hard bitin his style tho..to be fair he was only like 16...then he went on biting Jay Z later on..got in beef wit Fab and Stack Bundles and it was a wrap for him..

He had a lot of things work against him but Fab and Stack Bundles sure as hell ain't the reason he disappeared

Nah..him beefing with basically Clue and Desert Storm..that shyt DEF didnt help him at all..Fab and Stack was Desert Storm...the whole shyt stemmed from them but honestly it was his fault I believe..dude had a really cocky attitude and he wasnt nice enough to be actin like he did...

Him beefin with Clue was a factor. Stack Bundles and Fab, not so much.

Clue even said he would dead the beef if Ali apologized but then he dropped The Apology (DJ Clue diss) track which was his biggest mistake cause Clue ran the mixtape circuit

Ali was legit my favorite rapper at one point. I thought he made incredible music and I definitely thought he would blow up but I think his problem was that he was just lazy. He was goin years without puttin out music and in the internet era there is no excuse for that

Same. Him and Saigon were my favorite rappers during that era.

When push came to shove, everybody figured out he was overhyped....and furthermore....he really didn't have an ear for good production....

You can't win in this game being a clone......

Ehh I disagree. There's really no way you can say he was over hyped and be fair. He was an incredibly gifted lyricist and had a dope flow. I thought his production choices were dope as fukk too during his prime. I honestly think it was getting black balled with the Clue beef, lack of out put and then his music fell off a few years later. But during his prime years, his music was top notch

he was pretty much what ajax was from chicago, and both are trying to be nas like it was 95.
yet, it was much later.
when, trying to be like nas was never going to allow you to draw.
