The ATL fanbase only responds to superstars. Before and after Vick, the dome was a ghost town, during that shyt was on fire. The Matt Ryan years have been good stat-wise, but even the dome dont be packed like that all the time because their best player "matty melt" has the arm of Betty White and the personality of a slug
wait till when they open that stadium and AB hit them cats with those psl's even for a team who aint ever win shyt, or look to win shyt...

ATL to MEM
You have to give people a reason to show up. Hawks haven't had a legit star player since Nique was traded. Team has NEVER even been to the conference finals. What have they done to deserve unwavering support?

Plus I don't know wtf is going on but I think ticket brokers bought up a lot of them fukking seats because I been trying to go to a Hawks game but all those empty seats you see are sold out and go for like 200 bucks on Stub Hub. I used to stay hitting up Grizzlies games because you could actually get seats at a reasonable price. Who the fukk buys tickets just to not show up all year and try to gouge people to see the shytty ass Celtics!

I can tell how uninformed most of the nikkas in this thread are. Atlanta is a transplant city. I'm a product of two Atlanta transplants who came here in the 80s. Most people are fans of other teams, plus, due to other factors/attractions ain't nobody going to a game majority of the time. Only the games with marquee opponents will sell out. The Hawks attendance heyday was the 80s with Nique and the mid-90s with Mutombo/Smith/Blaylock. I still hit a few games for the the pro sports teams every year regardless

tbf, the Verizon Center in DC and Madison Square Garden are right under major subway stations. Most people arrive at those games via the subway.
