Twitter is something celebrities and athletes get addicted to in the process of promoting their careers or their "brand", and that's what Jericho is all about these days.
Punk's tweets are the worst. I still find Punk's TV segments really entertaining, but his Twitter stuff is just annoying. It's all about reminding people how smart he is with every tweet.
Jericho is kind of similar. He's still capable of being entertaining in WWE for sure. But his prime was a few years ago, I think we'd all agree. And latching on to one of the current hot acts through Twitter might be clever, but it also reeks of insecurity, doesn't it?
It's definitely 100% work. And business-wise it probably is smart. But I like the idea of the young lion calling out the veteran rather than vice versa. Doesn't seem as desperate somehow.
I agree about Punk. I find him to be the best in the business right now. He's had the longest reign in forever during an era where belts were changing hands every three-four months at the max. His promos are on another level from anybody right now. And I haven't mentioned that in terms of match quality, he's definitly in the top 3 right now, if not number 1.
But...
He's annoying as fukk on twitter. Very smug.

but you give me a couple of these matches and IDGAF
