UK Accent is ass...I am sorry...

If UK nikkas wanna rap...they gotta be like their UK RnB singers and lose the accent...

If Iggy Azaela can do it...then they can...if they wanna cross over...

You’re 29.

I’m 10 years older than you.

By the time you got into hip hop Rick was a shell of himself.

What do I gain by saying I knew he was from the UK?

It’s a fact.

I didn’t know there was people who didn’t know he was from the UK until this thread.

This is the weirdest internet argument I’ve ever been involved in bar none.

I was raised on hip hop... there was no "got into" it was apart of my life from the get go... so I was familiar with old nikkas. never had to get into it. I turn 30 in September. great adventures was apart of my childhood.

im not arguing just saying I agree nobody was like "oh you heard that new UK rapper slick rick"

nobody cared about that back in the day.. idk where you are from but to new yorkers slick rick was just a nikka from the bronx that sounded different lol.

maybe you are in the 1% of the people who knew he was from UK... Im not denying what you know.. but I have witnessed alot of revisionism on the internet...

90% bone thugs n harmony fans say they were down since faces of death but you literally had to live in Cleveland to have that album....creepin on a come up is when most people heard of them. but I wont deny there is a small percentage of people who knew of them before they met eazy... just not the whole world... just like it isn't crazy that nobody knew (or cared) that slick rick was british

Breh, I hear you and I’m not trying to argue with you.

It’s really not worth the time.

I never thought in a million years I would be having a disagreement about this at all.

I’m not saying nikkas was going around saying he was the “UK rapper Slick Rick”, we didn’t even talk like that back then, he was just the nikka with the British accent.

Same with Dana Dane.

All the kids in my neighborhood thought both them dudes was from England.

No disrespect, but you was born the year Great Adventures came out.

I was 10 and had already been a big fan of his for a couple years by then.

La Di Da Di is literally the song that made me fall in love with hip hop when I was 8.

That’s why I posted it.

Will never happen. They won't get the support over here if they rap in a fake American accent.

I've heard some dope UK tracks and artists. Can't fukk with it in large doses, some have too thick of an accent and I can't fukk with that. Some dope tracks get wasted cuz of those accents.
