Naw fam. Most women have dumbass reasons for "not settling"....Ultimately it comes down to a lot of y'all wanting the tupac in a business suit mold.

As men we dont seem to settle less because we dont tend to live in a grey area like women do. Most men here on the coli have probably the following standards:

No kids
No fatties
Be fairly educated
make 40k or more a year
No crazy debt, like more than 30k
In shape and a desire to stay in shape

See? None of those are extreme demands and make pretty good sense.

Meanwhile at this very moment I bet if you go on LSA or any forum with hella women, there will be hella threads/posts about some birds turning down a educated, in shape brother who makes 80k a year but he didn't have enough "swag"

90% of people do it, and that's probably a lot number. And the answer is OBVIOUS.

Most people desire a partner who is essentially a level above them. Most people overrate themselves. 5s want 9s, 6s want 10s, it just don't work like that.

A woman marrying are her level thinks that she is settling because she wants a man better than her. If you not attracted to him because he is "boring" vs not physically attractive that might be a problem also.

I'm not attracted to him physically and have really not clicked with him when it comes to personality/emotional side. He is accomplished etc. career wise and overall a nice guy..he is everything my friends are looking for in a guy (mostly his career+education gets them excited) which is why they keep saying I'm making a big mistake. I tried to get to know him...I was thinking maybe over time I'll like him more but after a few months of getting to know him (long distance) I am still not into him.

This thread seems off- to promote divisiveness along with her other thread, something doesn't seem right, that's all I'm saying. I don't like accusing people off top, bc I know how certain posters in here made assumptions about me when I first started posting- (but I also never posted my IG, or hints about my IG or made bait threads either.) It's her overusage of certain code words and language, talking points- they speak in generalizations, no specifics- that white people use to access or obtain information from black sites. Awareness more than anything.

Respect what? I don't got time to get into useless arguments based on her false allegations about me. She wanna be policing what I post for what purpose? I barely post on here and I don't care what anyone thinks of me either. I finally log in and I'm just here making a lighthearted post and engaging with people and she gotta piece together an entire analysis telling people I'm not black or I'm some thot. I'm not African American but I'm definitely black from another country..if she thinks I'm a troll or a non-black person because I don't know about the whole online cultural do's and don'ts and forums that's none of my concern. I spend all these years no drama on this forum and now they reporting me trying to get me banned out of paranoia. That ain't cool.
