The one thing that will eventually force him out:

Reintegration. Remember, one of the requirements for the treatment is to continue going through the elevator every day until the sync is complete. If he stays outside too long, he dies like Petey. If he stays on the severed floor... he dies like Petey. At least Outie Mark can go to the bolirthing retreat or whatever. Innie Mark has no options.

Having things go back to any kind of "normal" would just cheapen the ending. If they LEAVE it as it is and never continue it, years from now they'll be saying this was one of the all time great show endings.

Yes and no.

The show has only covered like 5 months( that’s why I never believed the Helly is pregnant or rebirthing Kier theories).

There are too many people who know and love Mark to leave him in Lumon.

But just going back to refining is a no go.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Mark is managing the severed floor next season.

Nah I think it’s Helly.

She wouldn’t force Mark to go either. They did at least get Gemma out who is a hostage . They both know what Lumon is. Kind of like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid.
