if you live in oakland your city is the most irrelevant big city in the state, about to lose at least 1 sports team within the foreseeable future and it's being overtaken by the hipsters who think valencia and mission are too mainstream. oakland is becoming haight/valencia


i can afford to live in this shyt hole just fine by why overpay when i can have a downtown LA condo/loft/apartment for half the cost.

I agree Palo Alto is better than Berkeley. But if you go to Cal, you will see some fine broads.

I agree with OP , that SF is overrated and wack but it's nowhere better than what's on the other side of the Bay Bridge.

From what I gather, as a transplant... Oakland is turning into what SF kind of used to be according to people I talk to from both cities, SF is kind of pricing out some of its heart and soul...

Oakland is on the come up with food selection though. So many great restaurants opening up and currently running in that city...

berkeley is a mess, i remember a few months back they kicked out a bunch of bums living in the wilderness in albany or some shyt, they all went to berkeley.

nah... oakland is becoming a homogeneous, soul-less shyt hole just like SF. the hipsters that cant afford to live in SF or want a "grittier" experience are moving to Oakland. a lot of native oakland ppl left because the rents been skyrocketing there too. gentrification hitting oakland hard. i even hear of plans to "develop" richmond
