Look. He’s black. I’m black. I should root for him right. I think he has skills. Do I think it’s collusion? I wouldn’t put it past the owners. Really, it’s what 4 teams who need a QB. Did the Raiders, Giants, Saints, and Browns say they won’t fool with him? Did he do any private workouts or interviews with those four? This will be a good 30 for 30 later this year.
Outside of his talent, the rest of the stuff can be seen as red flags. At the end of the day, as a QB you are a leader of men. Locker room can turn on you quick, then what? You aren’t an asset anymore. As a 4-6 rounder, he won’t be expected to start for a year or two.
Hopefully he gets drafted and keeps his head low, study the play book, be a good teammate, and he will get his shot eventually.
