just hope that if and when he gets a chance that he performs.

Stefanski needs to go regardless.

I wanna say.. I feel the same..

But.. Just as I let my blackness get in the way of the Giants choosing Dart over him.. He better perform because Dart is CLEARLY better than him.. I just never paid Ole miss any attention.. so same with Oregon.. didnt really watch them this year. So idk if Dillion is better or it's legit hatred by the Browns

This has been the only storyline i've followed all year.

1. Shedeur was the most accurate QB in training camp in terms of ball placement. And it wasn't that close.
2. The GM decided to pick Shedeur and the coach didn't agree with it. This is why you see him and Stefanski looking like there was friction after they drafted him.
3. Dillion Gabriel has always been ahead of Shedeur, not because he's talented, but because he knows how to read/study/call back Stefanski's playbook. He's the type of QB that will run the play exactly how the coaches want with no deviations.
4. The problem with that, is he's not physically capable of running all the plays. Unless he has a clean pocket with plenty of time to throw like he did at Oregon facing college defenses, all that book smart shyt goes out the window.
5. The reason why Shedeur hasn't gotten a chance is the same reason why Watson has played horrible in Cleveland. Shedeur ad libs. And has a gun slinger mentality. That coach doesn't want that. This was apparent, in Shedeur's first preseason game. Despite playing well, the coaches didn't like how he played because it was against what he drew up.
6. Some of the local Cleveland media are flat out racist when it comes to black quarterbacks. Hell, black people in general. And are quick to blame the black GM over the coach.
7. When Flacco got traded, the owner or GM did it because they wanted Shedeur to be the backup, not Flacco. And the coach was about to retaliate but making Zappe the backup instead.
8. Over the games Gabriel has played, even the local media who was trying to pump him up have slowly started to give Shedeur compliments for how he's been looking in practice.
9. At some point Shedeur will play. Either it will be because they stack up enough losses with Gabriel, or their inability to open up the playbook because of his physical limitations.
10. The narrative that the WR's are bad is overstated. Gabriel missed wide open receivers several times. There's no continuity.
11. Most of the players at this point would rather go with Shedeur over Gabriel at this point.

Stefanski is basically coaching like he has job security beyond this year, or he simply knows he's getting fired and don't give a fukk. He's basically trying to make it so that the owner forces a change. They fumbled on Baker Mayfield, then they couldn't develop Watson after he arrived. The offense they've been running all season has been not to lose. Even with Flacco, the offense was vanilla with little to no vertical passing.

And they got bailed out a few times against the Dolphins because of the refs. if Miami got a 2 core lead at any point in that game that forced Cleveland to pass, they were going to lose and Gabriel would've gotten exposed.
Bingo 100%.

Gabriel = decent floor/low ceiling

Shedeur = low-ish floor/good ceiling, not great

Gabriel isn't going to get appreciably better because he doesn't have enough tools.....but he's good enough to carve out a long career like Third Leg Ted or Tyrod as a solid backup or fringe starter.

Shedeur needs an organization willing to develop him. Cleveland has shown they don't know shyt about quarterbacks. Just because Stefanski says XYZ.....means zilch. He's not Bill Walsh. He's not Sean McVay. He's not a Shanahan....

damn a lot of these coaches are Irish..... :sas2: :jbhmm::manny:

If Shedeur could get to LA with SeanMac or anywhere besides Cleveland, we might learn what he's capable of.

Stefanski is why if you want Shedeur you should hope he doesn't play this season.
Stefanski will set him up for failure, let Shedeur continue working putting on weight, learning the game in practice and compete next training camp with the new head coach and OC.
If I were the Browns I would bring Hue back as OC or look at EB as a QB coach. Shedeur is tough he could handle EB.

The more this shyt has gone on, I think it's Deion's fault. He didn't want his son playing for certain teams and there were really only like 4 teams who needed QBs (Giants, Saints, Steelers (ARod ain't long term), Browns). And if you aren't that level of being that standout as a prospect even with your father's possible shenanigans, then it could be ugly. And it got ugly. Stefanski blatantly didn't want him but the GM was like fukk it the more he fell.

I just hope he gets the chance to play. Dillon ain't lighting much of anything up and Shedeur is still way more accurate. Don't wanna wish injury on someone, but just hope the young breh gets a chance....A LEGIT CHANCE to play and win the job.

If nepo babies in grant hill and Kobe struggled for acceptance.....

I mean Sheduer would have been shytted on for his background in the 90s. But he getting all the passes in this era ....
