Shams: Kevin Durant lists Heat, Spurs and Rockets as his preferred destinations and only teams he would commit long term.

Dallas by way of Houston by way of San Antonio
Stuff I'm seeing from sauces on X is Sochan has been the dealbreaker for the Spurs, which is stupid. :manny: #14/Barnes/Keldon/Sochan is probably a steep price for SA given the leverage, but it's one worth getting done still. Let's the Spurs keep Vassell (he can run a second unit with Harper/Champagnie/DV and a FA backup big. Or they trade#14 and DV/Barnes/Sochan and keep Keldon (not a Keldon guy, but he's a locker room mainstay for SA).

Don't think the Spurs wanna fukk up their timeline. Plus to go from trash to contention is a bit of a reach. While the Rockets were literally a KD away from making noise in the playoffs

Let's not get ridiculous :comeon:

Your probably putting alot of stock in those titles with the warriors,I dont. Not as if Carmelo couldnt have joined that team and won 2 chips. Melo took the nuggets to relevancy(without having a westbrook and Harden). Got sent to the Knicks and the Knicks went back to the playoffs for the first time in a decade. Yes KD did this in Brooklyn with a sometimes Harden and sometimes Kyrie.

Its definitely closer than people would like to admit. I just like Melos game better than KD. Wouldnt be mad if someone chose KD. But history will say this is an asinine take, when it shouldnt be.

You got melo in the top 20 or something or you don't think either of them is close to the top 20 players of all time?

Problem is the Spurs' timeline is basically OKC's current timeline, and OKC's secondary players are ahead of San Antonio's.

I would say they both are in the top 20. But closer to 20 than 10. So just outside the top 20 probably wouldnt be insane. Unless we are purely talking about as scorers.

The Spurs aren't losing any trade for a disgruntled star.

After they got Fox without including Castle or Vassel or really any rotational player, the league should know they aren't giving up shyt when they have leverage.

They literally landed Fox without giving up shyt

Theoretically, if the Spurs don't get Fox during the season, would they have enough salary and draft comp to go after KD AND Giannis this summer?
