The supermax is out of the window with the trade to Utah. He’d have to become an outright free agent to get that 5th year from Cleveland.

It’s why I don’t get the narrative that he’ll turn down the money since he’s already lost out on $100+ million.
He lost $100 mill supermax, so you want him to lose even more $$$ by losing his bird rights?

He won't lose his bird rights, so if he doesn't want to be in Cleveland, he'll let them know that so they can trade him to a team where he'll re-sign.

If he doesn't do that, he's re-signing in Cleveland.

Simple.

EDIT: I see we're saying same thing. NVM my quote

Shams is so nasty with this end of season speculation pieces being sent out an hour after the series is over

He isnt better than dlo which isnt a high bar. He puts the same stats as a secpnd option as dlo does as a third, and he's a much worse shooter

he's just as good of a shooter and he actually puts pressure the rim by driving to the basket.

15 drives per game more than Reaves an Dlo combined.

would you rather have Dilllingham /Topic or Garland?

Garland has struggled big time in the playoffs, but you'd have to be all-in on Topic or Dillingham being the 2nd or 3rd best guy and that's assuming Mitchell stays
I'd rather have Dilli or Topic, and I think Topic might be a bust, than to pay Garland around 40 million a year :scust:

Garland broke his jaw and came back even though he lost 15 pounds and clearly wasn't right, not gonna hold the second half of this year against him. He just came off two straight seasons of 22/8 on good efficiency, one of those with the Mitchell fit that clearly neither benefited from.

Teams like the Spurs and Magic would bend over backwards if he was made available.

Not Supermax but Bird rights he’ll lose out on like 80 million if he don’t resign.

This isn’t that surprising

Mitchell and Mobley play well together

Garland and Allen play well together.

All four do not play well together, and def not mixing them all up. Cleveland should definitely look to shake things up to get better, and they have some easy choices to make.
