Gotta feel bad for Cleveland in some sense; probably one of their best periods of roster management outside of the last LeBron years, and they unfortunately whiffed on some of their homer attempts. Donovan has to have the ball, Garland can't play off ball, Mob is probably destined to be a 5 unless he lands with a superb coaching staff and Allen kinda sorta isn't particularly great. They threw the bag at Strus, who only made one more shot than Okoro in 30 more minutes of play, and Okoro has the same offensive skillset today that he did when I was watching the good brother for my Tigers in 2019.

Some of it is bad luck (getting a top 5 pick in the weirdest draft before this upcoming one), some of it was KPJ crashing out (a guy who could've at least been young trade filler if nothing else), but I think they just tried to get a bit freaky and missed.

I also don't know if there's any good actors in this situation I'd love to build around if I was Cleveland. Donovan is a bucket, but that guy doesn't make guys around him much better. They had a crazy long winning streak when he was the primary ball handler, but as I recall, it was against a TON of bums. I don't think they have the faculties to develop Mobley's offense. Garland and Allen should be complementary guys on any championship contender, but they don't play complementary ball

I read the Shams article I was surprised Donovan Mitchell is leaning towards signing the super max with the Cavs because they got his bird rights and said he likes Cleveland and like Evan Mobley’s potential. Then I remember he is a 6’2 27 years old heavy usage guard might be the smart move to take the super max then lose all that money getting traded. Seem like he don’t like the coach JB. The Cavs front office feels like Jarrett Allen is soft and could’ve played. I think going forward they gonna fire the coach. They gonna trade Darius Garland and Jarrett Allen. It seem like some Lebron whispers about retiring as an Cavs with his son. But knowing Bron he might be using the Cavs to get what he want from the Lakers.

I don't get it. Does anyone know why Mitchell doesn't like coach JB?

Jarrett Allen the real difference maker on that roster. Once he was out that changed things immensely. Boston has now gotten to the finals beating teams without its most impactful player. It was a wrap once jimmy was out too.

Soon if these guys have contract issues with both wanting the max that team (cavs) will have issues

The article said Mitchell and other vets felt like he coached the team like a young team instead of a contending team. They felt like the practices wasn’t intense enough. One of the quotes felt like what was the point of it after they finished practice. The president of the team got at JB in front of everyone because he was playing Donovan too much. They didn’t like the strategies, rotations, and game plans. The article basically made it seem like him and Donovan never got along.

Bickerstaff sucks. Everyone wants him gone but for some reason the front office keep protecting him. He treats the regular seas like it’s the playoffs. Refused to give Sam Merrill a chance. Was only force to play him due to no other options. Refused to stop playing Niang. Rotations suck. Lack of a creative offense. We lost so many games this year due to his BS
